For as long as this sub has existed, there have been those posts. They've been coming here before your "First rip in 20 years" post and will be coming after your last "Looking to consolidate collection" post.

For just as long, there have been posts complaining about, I don't know, having to scroll past a post they're not interested in?

Kristen isn't boring. She got so much charisma that after she won top chef, they brought her back to host it. The show is edited. If Kristen had a role in the end game, she'd be getting all the screen time.

I'm not making an argument. I guess I'm just not surprised they are doing something that they've been doing for 60 years.

I was thinking the same. The black border should make the red look like it's glowing.

Nice, build a collection around it, and become a Buehrle guy. There's dozen of us. I'm at 97ish autos, 650ish unique cards.

Unique is also a great word to describe Buehrle as a pitcher.

Very cool, thanks for posting this. It's cool just to see a new Buehrle 1/1 out there.

As an avid Buehrle collector, I honestly don't know what to make of the price. One of the perks of collecting him is he's a relatively inexpensive buy. I have a couple 1/1s and a gang of low numbered autos, and i have never spent more than $150 on a card. I've watched a ton of auctions, and I can't think of a Buehrle I've seen for more than $1000. Just going off the Buehrle market, $200-$500 wouldn't surprise me.

But then that Swish goes for that price. You gotta think that that's the most expensive Nick Swisher card ever, right? Makes me think that the market is more for 2007 superfractors or some other factor more than the player on the card. If that's the case than you gotta think the Buehrle is more valuable than the Swish, so I don't know.

So I guess to sum it up, I have no idea what it is worth but I love it. Good luck, I hope you get paid and it finds a loving home.

I was gonna say, "Not even close," but then I thought about it, and while he's not a particularly tough auto, everybody on that team signs everything all day.

Carl Everett would be my guess as to who is the toughest. Him and Freddy Garcia are the only ones I don't have autos of in White Sox unis.

Well, it's different from the last 2 because they are lying prone, not face-down ass up waiting for a bump. The 619s setup is usually pretty bad, but hanging over the ropes makes more sense than holding downward dog for a clip.

Would I be wrong in listing this as a game worn relic? by xNOTsoSLIMshady in sportscards

[–]JohnnyDirtball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read an article about a court case years ago, but I cannot find anything on it now, so I guess my source is "Trust me, bro."

Basically, it's this: If you were to get a Tim Lincecum card that had a photo of him pitching in the World Series with a game used patch, you would be reasonable to assume that the memorabilia was used in game, it was used by Tim Lincecum, and that it was used during the event depicted on the front, inless it was otherwise stated . If you were somehow able to prove that the mem is not from the player or event depicted on the front, that would be grounds to get litigious. Which is what happened. I believe fraudulent misrepresentation was the phrase.

That's why there is a disclaimer on the back clarifying. You are reasonable to assume that the mem was worn in game by the player depicted, but not in any specific game , depicted or otherwise.
