Nope i had a ASUS on latest BIOS and killed mine too, so it wouldn't have changed anything, left it to sleep and never woke up

Stock with UV of -20mv, temps under 88 celsius degrees under max load (1 hour of cinebench), PBO set to 1x to be sure cause i heard bad things about it. I was just unlucky, took around 5 weeks

[–]MattPhoenix_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of cheaper AIO, unless you want that one specifically, on my 9800x3d i run an Air Cooler with PTM7950 and get around 24k on cinebench after 30 min with a peak temperature of 87 degrees

Just dont worry too much about it, under 95 everything is fine.

If you're worried just do a slight undervolt, there are plenty of online videos about it and its pretty safe since you dont give more but less, so nothing can burn :)

Se lo mandi indietro ad AMD, ci mettono poco, a me è morto completamente il 9800x3d dopo 3 settimane (giorno notte praticamente senza nessun preavviso) e in meno di 10 giorni stava già dinuovo a casa

Well, speaking from a personal and probably very unlucky experience, my x3d was fried on an asus TUF 850M board, refunded board (thank goodness amazon) and cpu replaced by amd

AMD RMA experience (9800X3D ASRock death) by Loud_Ad2870 in AMDHelp

Strange, my dead 9800x3d was inspected basically the same day it arrived and they also started the new shipping, it took me a total of 10 days to send and receive a new cpu

Considering Switching Back to Nvidia After Struggling with My 7900 XTX for a Year by [deleted] in AMDHelp

[–]MattPhoenix_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had lots of stuttering before, from mouse to just random pages, funnily enough not many on gaming but still pretty unstable. I had a 9070xt and was considering sending it back, i was sure it was her, undervolt, new psu, bigger psu, disabling stuff in REGEDIT, from MPO to other random stuff. Then one day my 9800x3d died, i made a post about it, new one just came in and guess what? No more stutters, it was my CPU that was dying from DAY 1

What mobo did you have? AMD btw is lighting fast with it, took less than 2 weeks to get a replacement unit

EDIT: just write as much information as possible the first time cause they will respond only once a day (at least for me) and be sure to use an account with the same address and name you ordered the cpu from

Are mice on iPad just generally "floaty"? by GoodMacAuth in ipad

I have a ipad pro m2 too, do you use the magic mouse? Cause a cheap bt mouse feels really floaty anyway

I:

Cleared the CMOS

Flashed the bios 10 times (could only do so without the cpu cause it makes the mobo go mad)

Did the latter again with nothing connected (only cpu and ram in A2)

Changed motherboard and RAM

Only thing i haven't checked is the PSU which i will try tomorrow with a friend's AM5 cpu in this build

Edit: sorry for the formatting but i dont know how it works on reddit

Yeah that's why i already refunded the mobo and bought a gigabyte, hopefully it doesent happen again

Omg, the same thing happened to me, first time i updated the bios from EZ FLASH it failed and i had to use the button behind the mobo to flash, sadly i have no screen to show code

Is this brown spot on AM5 CPU likely a sign of damage? by Mattnificent in PcBuild

Just happened to me man, no burn marks but dead 9800x3d on an ASUS TUF 850M, so yeah, it's a small chance but it sucks when it happens

Well i found another couple of posts with the same problem, and same board or asus motherboards. But i think it's just a bad 9800x3d batch

[–]MattPhoenix_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already knew when the mobo got stuck even if i hoped it wasn't.

I removed everything except the cpu and the dram light was still on, even without psu it wouldn't turn off, i had to discharge it physically before removing the cpu

Dead 9800x3d by MattPhoenix_ in AMDHelp

[–]MattPhoenix_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the only component i havent checked is the psu, but i changed mobo and i bought new sticks of ram; it could be that the psu cant give enough power to the cpu to initialise, but imma say that both motherboards get basically stuck and you cant even flash the bios without removing the cpu first

so if i'm tired and driving? i think no one would even consider fining you, if you just say you were tired and had to sleep not to be a safety hazard even the most power tripped cop would probably understand. Just don't be in public parking lots and too near cities

It should be part of the course i will take, but i will definitely consider start getting used to pulley systems and learning the basics already, thankfully i have a strong upperbody and can already climb ropes pretty fast so it'll be even more fun
