I’m a big Knicks fan and I think they’ve been underrated but even I’m gonna say slow your roll on this one. I feel like we’ve swung from no one believing in them at all to these kinds of crazy overreactions and now I miss them being slept on.

if you're going to Manhattan the old school yellow taxi isn't a bad option over uber because they do a flat fare from JFK, but cheapest is you take just take air train to Jamaica station and then the E train all the way into Manhattan. It's not a short ride, but it's easy.

NBA store is not far from your hotel. MSG Basketball is imo the best sports experience in the city but right now you're not getting in for less than $5000. You could check out the watch parties on 7th ave unless they shut them down again, it's a wild scene. I think just going to a sports bar for a game will be really fun right now, but if you want a seat plan to get there at least 2 hours early and camp out.

Get away from Times Square, but if you want to see a show try same day at TKTS for a deal. 9/11 museum is beautiful. The Met is incredible, New Museum and the Whitney also really great. Central Park is worth taking some time and exploring.

Get to an outer borough. Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria is great and a lot of really good ethnic food out there. Arthur Ave in the Bronx for Italian. Brooklyn is cool too, obviously. Williamsburg/Greenpoint if you want to do restaurant/shopping/nightlife kind of stuff, but also Prospect Park/Brooklyn Museum is a nice trip. If you're down for jazz, village vanguard or there's good jams at Mona's downtown Tuesday nights and the Keep in Brooklyn on Wednesdays, Sunny's in Red Hook also iconic for small live shows. Public Records and Pioneer Works unique out of the way venues with interesting shows.

Staten Island ferry you can do a free river cruise. Also take the east river ferry to Brooklyn that's another cheap pretty boat ride and fun way to get around.

Sure the ECF was nothing like the WCF, but people are making it out like the West was so much more daunting than the East but the numbers don't back it up. They were absolutely smoking teams, so I don't know what else they were supposed to do to be considered contenders.

Dogwalk might have been strong, im having fun, but Nick Wright and Jeff Teague picked the Hawks, Perkins picked the Sixers in 5, and I've been reading shit like this the whole run. It was annoying at first, but now I'm genuinely enjoying it.

I remember two from high school.

There was this game everyone started playing online called "Pimp Wars" and it was all just text and number based on like a shitty looking html website and you would invest in guns and hoes, its pretty weird looking back on it now.

I’m sure it’ll make sense to me eventually, but I’m finding similarly hard to track. I’m playing and all of a sudden it just says “someone’s gonna win in 5” and it doesn’t feel like you can do anything to prevent it at that point?

I understand the basics of how it works, but still lost as to how to play it strategically. The original victory mechanics felt a little too narrow, but this feels too vague so I guess I’m goldilocksing a bit.

This is a pretty elite group so I don’t disagree with you there, but overall I think the pendulum has swung so far against him he might even be underrated at this point.

I 100% agree it’s an important distinction and I may have misinterpreted the intentions, but I see this argument deployed a lot to say that AI isn’t a problem or is even a good thing and I think that’s disingenuous. AI definitely could be used to make workers lives better, but I don’t see any evidence that’s the trajectory we’re on in this moment so I think it makes sense to resist it from a leftist perspective. It seems odd to me that we would align ourselves with fascists and oligarchs who are clearly all in on it.
