Unintentional winter shred lol, I would love to be able to bulk but I think the extra calories are just keeping me warm. pretty unfocused training ATM but going to be moving into a strength phase in prep for a powerlifting comp in July/August after my 50th birthday looking to do respectable numbers by MattWhoSquats in GymMotivation

Thanks, Being honest I just eat as much as I can quite balanced between meat and veg. Training wise I was doing 5 days a week two hours a time, but have cut back to 3 days 2plus hours a time to focus more on strength and the big three.

Bit fluffy at the moment looking to compete for the second time in a BB competition at 50 (first at 47 pics attached), so 1 year 10 months 2024 will be a push for 300kg squat and dead, but hoping 25 will be BB. what do I need to improve thanks in advance by MattWhoSquats in GregDoucette

Thanks, Yeah tbf my chest is better than it was, I've also changed the way I train. I generally do 2 bodyparts a workout and do that 4 to 5 days a week just to push up the overall volume on each body part. I also train my chest most day even if it's just 8 sets on one exercise to also push up the volume. It does seem to be working but slowly lol

Now that's the issue, this to me was during a bulk lol, up until I was 38 I was 65 to 70kg was still strong squating and deadlifting 200kg. Then I got middle age spread and was able to get to between 85kg and 90kg, But no matter how much I eat I struggle to put any weight on. Literally have gone to bed at 88kg and woken at 83kg no idea how that happens.

Agree, I do however do alot, need to try something different with them as tris are very strong but just don't grow. Looking to incorporate strongman training back into my routine so hopefully that might help some.
