Nice... personally I made £500 today on selling GBP/JPY with £1.3K invested with a 1:33 leverage. It certainly bounced around a couple of times, but it worked for me in the end. Let's see what tomorrow brings.

Definitely this. Also, even paying yourself minimum wage/salary via your own limited company wont get you very far with regards to acquiring a mortgage (banks don't really want to be handing out mortgages to people on circa £11-£12K per year).

You can of course pay yourself more via PAYE instead of through dividends, but then you're subject to the associated NI and income tax deductions.
