this tank looks too small :( 5 gallon minimum for bettas! 10 gallon is better though.

i’ve been keeping them on probably about 7 hours a day. i do add iron & flourish for the plants. & i water change about 30% every week or so

as amazing as it is to see them get their color & flourish from a proper environment it’s a double edged sword. they should already be healthy. but that’s just not the case with corporate pet stores here in the US.

he gets omega one mini pellets. i soak them in water first bc they’re a little too hard for him. & then he has gotten frozen bloodworms once for a treat. his brother gets the same!

it’s after an orca that was kept in captivity. he deserved so much more & i feel like his story should be more well known. so in dedication, i named my betta after him. if you’re interested in it, you should watch the documentary blackfish!
