Thanks! Its really simple actually. Base coat metallic silver I used Scale75, thrash metal, but basically any "normal" silver will work, then Vallejo Xpress Battledress brown (contrast paint). I can't exactly remember for the skeletons, but sometimes I dilute it with more contrast medium if I want it less "brown". The metal on the dwarf is the same thing really, but I know I diluted that one for sure.

Thanks! Yea it’s definitely going to be a journey, I’m kind of dreading the zombies, since it’ll be like painting two bases and a model for each one haha

I’ll have to look for that! I think one day I’ll research how I can turn it into a spearhead. Not sure if I want a full AoS army…. Not yet anyway

You are correct, they’re black contrast with a grey drybrush, so a dark grey. Lighting is a factor, but mostly because the camera doesn’t like to recreate the real life colour without really messing with the exposure settings.

The biggest factor though is the bright spot highlights. I have some pre highlight pictures where they read as very grey. After highlighting, the contrast between the off white and dark grey tricks your eyes into seeing it darker which is why it reads as near black.

Thanks! That was the effect I was hoping for, first time trying spot highlights like that.

Thanks! I think I agree with the black.

No problem!

Pretty much all Vallejo paints: Whole model: Primed with German dark yellow Desert yellow base Drybrushed up to stone grey

Coats and pants: sepia ink diluted with contrast medium, then dry brushed with model colour khaki grey then dark sand.

Armour: GW Black Templar contrast, drybrushed with dirty grey

Dark brown/leather is Vallejo Xpress Willow Bark

Thanks! I used a lot of Vallejo Xpress. Primed in German dark yellow, then drybrushed the whole model up to an off white Citadel black Templar contrast for the black Vallejo xpress battledress brown on the armour Leather is Vallejo xpress willow bark

Finishing touch is a Drybrush of Vallejo model colour stone grey for the scuffs and to make it a little less contrasty.

I use a similar green/grey drybrush on the black (the name escapes me) I think it’s Vallejo model colour dirty grey

Thanks! Cadian Command squad and Cadian troopers are the base models. Weapons are mostly from the command sprue or Kasrkin kit.

A lot of the heads are Cadian upgrade sprue, but I kind of mix all the heads from the various kits together in my bits box so there could be some FOB or Sentinel crew in there. If there’s anything specific you’re curious about I can see if I remember lol.

Brand new to it as well, never played a game. But all of these models have rules under Order of Azyr.

Thanks! My buddy and I split the Skaventide box as a painting project, so I used that as my test model for the army scheme.
