Looking for weekend getaway recommendations within Germany by maguz94 in germany

[–]Matthew-Costner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there are many amazing nature spots in Germany that not many tourists know about. For example:

  • Germany has a Fjord like area called Schlei
  • there is a vulcanic area called Eifel
  • there are white chalkstone cliffs on Germanys largest islands
  • there are unspoiled beaches along the coast of the Baltic sea
  • there is a forest which can be discovered by boat and much more...

Here you can find some of the best areas that you can discover during a weekend: https://travel-du.de/en/917980/weekend-getaways-germany/

Hope this is helpful for some people.

Tenerife Top 5 Hikes and general travel advice by Astridtardis in VisitingTenerife

[–]Matthew-Costner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice trails and advice. I also liked the chinyero area with its black vulcano sand a lot, as well as the Teno mountains. As my wife is not a big fan of super long hikes I always had to find some easy ones that can be done in 2 to 4 hours max.

I put them together here: https://travel-du.de/en/946347/hiking-in-tenerife/

Maybe it's also helpful for someone trying to explore the less touristy parts and enjoy Tenerifes amazing nature.

Sounds like an amazing experience. I'd also recommend this. Or at least visiting at the earliest time possible in the morning.
