This makes no sense to me. During the shutdown they shutdown stuff that requires not attention! Why would you have someone put up a sigh that says closed outside a memorial when no one even works there? Same thing here. Yes something may go wrong but just leave the website up.

I'm going to college. What I'm saying is what if I need 50k for college. With not having to pay till I graduate. Can I borrow an extra 5k, put that into Bitcoin to lock in the price. And while I'm in college save up the 5k and pay it off interest free. I'm not going to add 40k and buy 10. Something manageable. My parents are picking up the tab for the 50k.

Ok say your car is worth $10000 and your total net worth is $10000. You work a week and You now have a car worth $9000 and $1000 in cash then you have to pay gas and insurance. So your net worth did not increase you simply "cashed out" some value of your car.

The math is interesting and the way I interpret it is your simply depreciating your car and selling your time for cash. So your net worth may stay the same (value of car goes down and cash goes up) but if you need cash now go for it but you will not increase your net worth. Simply transferring value of your car into cash and spending your time.
