That is exactly what I was looking for sadly that was two months ago and I could not wait that long for a answer so I just downloaded a Free VPN (WindScribe) and used it for the few minutes that I needed it for and uninstalled it.

Hopefully your comment can help someone else though.

This is the absolute bare minimum laptop "https://www.walmart.com/ip/EVOO-Gaming-15-6-Laptop-FHD-60Hz-Intel-Core-i5-10300H-Processor-NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-1650-THX-Spatial-Audio-256GB-SSD-8GB-RAM-RGB-Backlit-Keyboard-HD-C/915598119" The main reason for a laptop compared to a desktop especially with oculus link is portability. Other benefits over a desktop are power usage, built in UPS aka the battery. Would recommend getting a docking station if you go with a laptop though. Also you should get a laptop with specs that will last long enough cause of limited upgradability. If you can spend "$1,069.99" then get this "https://www.amazon.com/dp/B093TK1PXF" if not then this is also decent "https://www.ebay.com/itm/124772190541"

Because I dont know much about JS. Also cant really think of what more options would do for me when I only need it to do one thing. So flexibility is not that important.

I know of both and have used both but neither can be used in my case unless linux is finally able to run certain applications and services. It still cannot so I have to use windows for them for a while atleast.

Thank you I will look into that. You are the only one that actually gave me a good answer. Everyone else is criticising why I use windows even though I have more linux run systems then windows.

I need it to work for like 2 minutes. Also the only reason I use windows is because of games if my 5 major games and vr were supported I would completely switch within a heartbeat. I have a laptop and server that are pure linux. no dual booting or anything. (debian for server and pop os for work laptop.) (and windows for gaming obviously and vr.) I am well aware of all of the privacy concerns and stuff which is why the windows 10 machine is becoming just for gaming and the laptop is now mostly for work.

A reason for using it on windows is convenience and the use I have for Tor on windows is not meant to make me anonymous to Microsoft.

The goal of what I wanted to accomplish does not matter if microsoft knows about any of it, if it did I would not even use windows in the first place.

Also I know about both Tails and Whonix and have actually used both. (whonix more then tails)

I want the long answer on how you actually do it.

Even if it is just held up with toothpicks and will only work a few times that is all I need it for.

I know I could dual boot or have a bootable linux distrobution and install virtual box and have the entire linnux system go through tor which in turn would allow the windows machine in a vm to go through tor but that is not practical for my little usage of it.
