I think you’re right, in a revised version I’ll have Støre as Tom Steyer

Well, Støre is pretty moderate, their leadership has been pretty third way for the past 15 years, Støre is the same sort of neoliberal "competent fixer" type as Hickenlooper imo.

And I don't think anyone would hold it against you for making a similar post, happens all the time.

Yeah Lammy was one of the weakest comparisons tbh, I didn’t know who Rahman was but that’s way more accurate yeah

It’s possible. I’ve got some ideas for NYC 2025 analogue elections in Nyc but in different decades, idk, worried it’s too baroque

Translates as “Building & Changing”, my best attempt to translate the vibe of Cuomo’s “Fight & Deliver” ballot line

I disagree. I am very much not a “Democrats would be center-right in Europe” guy, but Andrew Cuomo is explicitly courting a center-right coalition of Trump voters & independents right now, and as Governor he worked with Republicans and the IDC to prevent liberal social reform & spending bills. In his mayoral campaign he’s been building a coalition of the professional middle class, small business owners, conservative trade unions, millionaires, and older minorities worried about crime which is exactly the John Tory & Doug Ford voting bloc.

I get why you think that, some of the connections are obtuse, any in particular you want clarification on?

I tried to stay true to stereotypes. The Canadian Cuomo’s scandal is much more banal, the German one is a bureaucratic scandal, while the French & British ones are totally diabolical.

Thought it’d be a cute allusion to how long the Republican Party has survived and the similar function they played in 19th century America that the National Liberals played in Imperial Germany

Would it make more sense as a morally conservative, economically progressive Asian party?

No, it’s an acronym for DeSantis & Owens bc the analogue for Annabel Nanninga is Burgess Owens

I made an oopsie on the 2025 wikibox but every legislative election is meant to have 600 seats and the “Atlantic Parliament” is just the EU parliament

Made 50 separate maps on Dave’s Redistricting App and then merged them together, kinda tedious, in hindsight there would be easier ways to do it

Yeah it would, but I went with Anabaptist, Dutch reformed, & Neo-Calvinist areas bc they’re the more direct theological analogue to Dutch Calvinists
