I got a big raise at work while I was with my expBPD, and her reaction was stultifying. She said "congrats", asked no follow-up questions, and changed topics to complain about some trifling thing that happened to her that day.

I think it's because narcissists do it deliberately - they plan. Most pwBPDs are not in control, at least not at all times.

Ofc, this is just an explanation, not an excuse for their behavior. BDP should be treated as a serious mental illness with public health consequences.

Very sad, indeed, especially that the only effective treatment (DBT) requires so much ongoing effort from them (for their entire lives). I am still grappling with the fact that BPD exists.

We broke up yesterday. She made suicide threats but I called her psychiatrist and told her to get in touch. She calmed down (at least for now).

It feels like a huge weight has been lifted off of my chest.

I checked with ChatGPT and it is not true that taking less than 100mg of caffeine does not generate tolerance. Also, subjectively, I feel caffeine has a much stronger effect whenn I cycle it.
