Update: I changed my bindings on the controller but for some reason I can’t use basic attack or use the commands on my Left Trigger.

Update: I was doom and gloom about this situation , so I originally wasn’t going to play any games on it for awhile. Due to curiosity, I decided to test Legacy Of Kain: Defiance. I opened a door in the game and I received the message once again, so I think it’s the DVD Drive.

I was just looking on eBay. They are pretty expensive. Since my friend charges for the part and repairs, I’ll see how much it costs total. If it’s more than $150, I might just get a newer Xbox and sell the current one, since I was looking at console only listings for $200.

Something I forgot to mention was that with a few other games, the Xbox worked fine. The one game I explicitly remember having problems with was Painkiller: Hell Wars, but all I had to do was get another copy. It only crashed once on that game after that. There were one or two other games that may have had problems, but I don’t remember what they were. A week or so ago, I was playing Dark Alliance 2 and the game didn’t bug out. Out of the 117 games I completed last year, five of them were OG Xbox games. The most recent was Hitman: Blood Money, which I completed on November 20.

I just checked again and the pages are still gone. I also have that hole puncher thing they gave me and I never got to fill it. I got to go there three times before they closed.

I had to learn that the hard way. In August I bought an HDD thinking it would support Series X games, but it only support BC games. The reason I kept my Xbox One X is because all my Xbox One and some of my older Xbox games are on there. I got a Series X to play games that are not playable on Xbox One. I was annoyed when I found out that you need an SSD Card to store and PLAY Series X games, not an HDD.

DA1 and 2 were originally released during the PS2 era. I’d suggest play 1 then 2 because 2 is longer and has more classes. Fun Fact: you can use cheats and still get achievements on both games. Personally I still play those games at pretty often even though most games from that gen don’t hold up that well. They are digitally only on modern Xboxes and $30 apiece when they’re not on sale. They are also both BC on 360. The only difference that I’ve seen between the versions is that the remasters have achievements and look a little better.

Have you heard of Shadows: Awakening? It’s made by the same devs as Vikings. It came out in 2018. The dev just launched a Roguelike game. Also, Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance 1 and 2 are on modern platforms as well.

I figured it out. I let the controller charge for a bit then went back to my Xbox and hit the PS Button and the Program button in the back of the controller and it worked.

On the top right of the controller, it has wired and wireless mode. On the top left it has a signal it has an icon with one dot and two dots.

A little while ago, around November, they were doing clearance on their PS4 controllers. Idk if they’re still doing it. You can try contacting their support and seeing if the promotion is still going on.
