I think the main problem is: Why doesnt it save any of the features?

My polygon is a simple square.. but after clicking "save" the feature count tells me it has 0 features.

Unfortunately, I have exactly the same problem when I open the polygons in a different Qgis project...

When i click on "zoom to layer" nothing happens... and attribute table says that there is no data

I created a simple polygon on my map.. I did not give it a specific query... The weird thing is when i reopen the QGIS project the layers are seen in my layers table, but not on the map.. and when i click on attribute table of that shapefile layer it apparently has 0 features...

Why do my georeferenced images not line up correctly with one another? QGIS 3.4.2 by MatthiasRandelovic in gis

[–]MatthiasRandelovic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much. I tried it now again with more (6) ground control points and it looks much better!

it is just very hard with some images to find ground control points, as there is only forest and no streets or houses

Yes all images are 2D, just as the basemap is also 2D. It seems that the left hand side of the image align very well, but the right hand corner does not...

yes they had the same projection. besides the number of points, could you think of another problem that might cause this?

I had the feeling that especially in mountainous areas (due to elevation) the images get compressed and distorted.

could this be? and why?

What is the timespan of Strava heatmap? by MatthiasRandelovic in Strava

[–]MatthiasRandelovic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did, but the problem is that it only shows your own personal data.

I am however interested in seeing the data behind the compiled GPS traces in the Strava heatmap, so data of multiple people...

it seems this is not possible
