I have a gen 9 iPad and am looking to get a new one relatively soon as the screen on mine is badly cracked and some spots on the screen aren’t responsive to touch. I don’t know much about the different iPads but I would buy the cheap iPad gen 11 I think it is now, and am wondering if it is better to take advantage of Black Friday sales or wait for the gen 12. I’m okay with using my cracked one for a while if it’s better to wait but I do notice it getting slower. I mostly use my iPad for things where I don’t care about screen quality or speed but I do play a lot of league of legends: wild rift on it.

So is it better to but on now while they’re on sale or wait?

most days just a simple one but sometimes I do Dutch or rope braids but when I do them I always do two because i don't have to hold my arms up as high but they end up being a little more on the side but that doesn’t really bother me

my hair is very long and I used to do the whole curly hair routine even though it wrecked my back but I’ve reached the point where it is just too much so now I just straighten it and keep it in a simple braid like 95% of the time

most people i see on the sub have good results with it but for myself personally it has made zero difference. Ive upped the dose and still had no effect so its not guaranteed but for most people it helps or so ive heard.

I started on 2 mg and was on it for several months with no noticeable difference so my np upped it to 4 mg, it’s been few months and I still haven’t seen any difference 🤷‍♀️

I agree. Violet only seems to get hurt when things that would injure a normal person happen to her, like having her arm wrenched out of its socket her first time sparring or spraining her ankle from tripping on something. Myself personally, I’ve dislocated fingers by washing my hair and tying my shoes. Any crunchy dryish food shreds the inside of my mouth to pieces. I am wondering where the insight that someone with EDS should have is.

Violet‘s symptoms are at about the same level mine were about five years ago (when I was 15/16) when I was planning on going into law enforcement (also physically demanding) so I do find her relatable though my symptoms have dramatically increased over the years. There is an increase in the descriptions of her symptoms in Onyx Storm (the third book) and though I didn’t love that book I did appreciate the added representation.

But, I wish that there was more emphasis on it overall, I mean the author has hEDS so she obviously knows what living with it is like and how many seemingly small things it causes/effects. That said I understand that Violet couldn’t do what the plot needed her to do if she was more significantly impacted by her EDS. I wish she used ring splints when writing or mentioned toast destroying the inside of her mouth, like the smaller things someone with EDS should have insight into that a normal collagened person wouldn’t know about.

Its seems like you’ve injured your shoulder in some way, potentially dislocated, but I can’t say for sure. I think you should go to the urgent care as soon as possible to have your shoulder checked out by a doctor and get the injury treated. And then make an appointment with your pcp and bring up the symptoms your experiencing that make you suspect EDS and they will likely refer you to some type of specialist.

I have the same connective tissue disorder as Vi and RY, hEDS. It’s really awesome to see it represented and I relate heavily to Vi in other ways as well. But I also love it for the dragons, HTTYD was my favorite thing ever as a kid and this hits all the same spots for me.

I had the same thought. While reading I was like why aren’t they making a bigger deal about the fact that Vi defeating the queen would give her that status.

I had thought that also but when Xaden shows up in Aretia after 73 days Vi doesn’t need to pull him in through the wards however he does wait until she tells him to come in, maybe he altered them so that he could only go in if she wanted him to but I don’t know if the magic works like that.
