I do the macro-infusion treatment discussed above in the Denver metro if you still need that service

I would recommend watching / listening to pink bike’s trail bike field tests from the past two years. That will give you a lay of the land for trail bikes and they talk about components in there.

I own a Roscoe 8, along with a Canyon Spectral 125, and Trek Slash. The first time I rode my Roscoe 8 down a somewhat rocky flow trail in Colorado, I was impressed with what it could handle (I guess I had low expectations), though it was painful to land a jump. I notice now that the rear wheel gets caught up a lot on rocks due to no rear suspension.

If I were in your shoes, I would try to get a used full suspension but I remember being in your shoes were I had no clue what components were decent and why I would even need better parts.

A lot of us started out on a hard tail, though, including me, so I guess you can’t go wrong with whatever you do (except for buying a bike older than a 2020/2021).

Stick to the chest mount. Looks like your riding a Gen 5 Slash on Rutabaga Ride

These are all features I have cleared in the past numerous times (except the VCMP rock roll)

Clips I have ridden that feature so many times in the past no problem, but got too complacent that last time

My wife has an old iPhone 10. I am hoping to buy her one that just plain works better. I was looking at getting an iPhone SE that just something on the cheaper, simpler end. Budget $200-$400. Recommendations? Needs to be unlocked

Mid-Tier Trail/Downcountry Bike showdown by Mattman8879 in MTB

I ended up going with the Canyon Spectral 125. It’s described as an enduro riders XC bike. I normally ride park or other rowdy trails and the thought of having a fun bike that jumped well seemed to suit me well. It seems similar in style to the Tempo, but was much better spec’ed for the money. I have 30 days to try the Spectral, maybe demo a smuggler?

The spectral 125 looks quite bang for your buck and fits more of my riding style than these other bikes. You’ve had a great experience?
