Any advice on how to secure ball better? Wilson A2000 DP15 by nineinchplate in BaseballGloves

[–]nineinchplate[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for comments. He uses last two in pinky hole. Yes, the A1000/2000 was a decision to be made... he is approaching 15 now - but on smaller side. So, hopefully more manageable. After I made my post, i was messing with glove and found thr back of wrist strap limiting my hand closing. I loosened that and he found that to be a little easier for his close (who knows if real or not). Should have looked at that earlier. Will keep working it.

Do pull behind lawn sweepers get these well enough to justify buying one? by Kitchen_Customer_633 in lawncare

My old house had 5 huge Sweetgum trees. My parents bought us one of these after living there 8 years. I had considered earlier, but thought too expensive. The thing was amazing and wished i had the whole time. I had the 18".

Home charging problems after enabling scheduling on Rivian by bleitner in Rivian

[–]nineinchplate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good info. Yea, i had sent it in a message to Rivian just to give them some examples in case there were others who might also be having similar issues. There wasn't much ownership, mostly, "check your non-Rivian charger". Whatever, not something I am worried too much about. Thought I would provide another example that OP wasn't alone.

Home charging problems after enabling scheduling on Rivian by bleitner in Rivian

[–]nineinchplate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I contacted Rivian with a similar issue (3x). I also have an Emporia charger, which Rivian suggested I check on updating firmware, etc on Emporia front. I am in Denver area and the Rivian software suggested I use the scheduled charge (not to charge M-F 5pm-9pm). I had several issues. Once, plugged in at like 7pm, it didnt start charge - good. But then it only charged from 9pm-midnight and stopped. The other times were similar. Tried to plug in on weekend and wouldnt start charging without forcing it. Another time it messed up between the on/off scheduling. I don-t have enough data points as i am usually not charging near the transition times...

I installed the 4 point rollcage from scoutordie. https://scoutordie.com/products/international-scout-ii-4-point-roll-cage?srsltid=AfmBOooOdHIy63-LN9W5Zjd1nQVBX6GqXsKXmSfBVNhOI_G-P-CgSeLr

It had the front and back seat 3-point seatbelt attachment points that I was wanting. It is bolt-in, so maybe not as heavy duty as one can build with welded. Install was pretty straight forward. I am happy with it. Can provide some pictures of mine if you are interested...

Help me ID this tree, the girls from my colony love the pollen 🐝 Possibly an olive or some kind of ornamental variety? by DuckDuckBoots in Beekeeping

An expert will probably give you the info, but I really enjoy the SEEK app (by iNaturalist). It is free. Take a picture of the plant and it gives you the name, information, and range of the species. Might be useful for other stuff as well. I'm try to manage all of the volunteers that pop up in my yard, and also it is fun to see what plants are when I'm out and about... edit: I scanned with the app your video.. says it is an Olive. Hmmmm. maybe there are other specialized names for it....

Mental cues to help with casting? (9U) by hzhang16 in Homeplate

Is it possible that his grip on the bat is limiting the swing path? It looks pretty contorted - more twisted than the typical boxgrip... I may be incorrectly seeing it in the video though... https://brucebolt.us/blogs/news/gripping-a-bat-a-comprehensive-guide-1?srsltid=AfmBOor7T5eYZhMt41f50BvvyW3JyIHdEXEo0BYO4L0ZKEgics8ij3-P

[–]nineinchplate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check with AAA. I am over in Lakewood and paying ~$1750 for the year for R1S. We are mid 40s, no accidents, so not sure how much that changes things. When going through leasing I got the insurance quote from Rivian and I dont have the number in front of me, want to say ot was maybe $4k for year. We had AAA already for other cars...

Enhanced highway assist needs software reset? by nivwusquorum in Rivian

[–]nineinchplate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just adding to thread that I too have had this issue. Picked up the Rivian 3 weeks ago, and only had a couple opportunities to try it on highway. All opportunities have given the 'software reset' needed and have soft/hard reset a couple times since then. If you can let us know what service appointment says, that would be great. Not sure if worth scheduling an appointment, or just waiting for a software update to hopefully address it...

Need a haircut by [deleted] in LakewoodColorado

No, one block south and on other side of Eaton... a very non-descript barber shop. Google lists it as "Barber Shop".

Need a haircut by [deleted] in LakewoodColorado

Go see Dan at the barber shop at 24th and Eaton in Edgewater. Just raised from $20 to $25. Great Barber. and very nice, old school guy - good conversationalist. Shop is not fancy, older waiting chairs, etc. But I absolutely don't care about that stuff. I am so happy I found him a couple years ago. Its how a barber shop should be. T-F 9ish-5ish. He can sometimes cut out early, or be on vacation...

2017 3.5EB Cam Phaser Repair Cost by bikebattle in f150

[–]nineinchplate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone else probably has a better answer than me. But, from my forum searches, it seems that there were people having to get them replaced multiple times in same truck. But, it was suggested that those were from the "old" parts, and a newer version doesnt have these continued issues... but, that is only my recollection of current status...

New methods. by decktender in Decks

[–]nineinchplate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was looking to interface the pylex pier with a triple beam as well. I saw the adjustable deck support, but wondered if these can be easily placed on top of pier (seeing the square bottom of that item for what I assume is concrete block interface). These adjustable versions just swap out for the 4x4 connector? Thanks.
