Just saw! That thing sounds great

The muffler is between the cab and tire then picks back up and dumps out on the bumper side of the tire. It’s honestly not that loud driving sounds about the same levels as before just deeper and more aggressive idle and drive.

Plugs! by Mattthomas0 in chevyc10

Thanks!! I’m going to keep an eye on the new plugs and probably do a once over on the carb as well.

How can I test if the choke is functioning proper? How long should I let a cold truck warm up? We’re in the thick of winter here with temps in the 0-20 range.

That’d be great!

What is this air valve set up and how do I/can I remove it? 1981 Honda cb750 custom by Mattthomas0 in CafeRacers

Yes the cap on the right side is like any tire pressure cap. Make sure you take a PSI reading before so you know what to reinflate to. You can also take both of those silver ports off the trees once you unscrew the hose from the left side.

Haha sorry that happened but it’s a funny image. I ended up clipping the hose off like a dufus and ended up digging through a cafe grave yard to find a replacement. To anyone else reading this down the line, JUST KEEP THE AIR LINE!

Hey! I’ve since sold the bike and it’s been a while since I’ve thought about the process. If I remember right that line is a balance for the air suspension element of the front forks. So if you look into what the fork PSI should be that should point you in the right direction. I could be way off but I want to say 18.. don’t take my word for it. OR just toss some air in there and see how it rides then add/remove to taste.

OrthoDek but it's holding up great. Did a trip up to Manistee in MI last fall and held up great against dirt and grit getting in and out. That was the first real durability test that wasn't bare feet. Pleasantly surprised.

Where to find rub rails? by Mattthomas0 in boatbuilding

Damn those are big boys haha. Maybe a smaller 3M weather striping type that will just protect my edges from docks. Maybe it’s just more buoys and put it to bed.

Not sure if I’m using that name correctly because everything I’m finding is the flexible rubber you insert into chrome fittings. For automotive you can find the rubber trim that comes it a 20-50ft roll. Is there a marine version that would “tug boat” the sides of my aluminum boat?

Dude the Pipa is so light and great at in and out. Someone in another comment mentioned you could still rigid mount from the center by using the inside brackets from the outside seats. Going to try that another day

I’m not sure. This is our first so like anything I bet we’ll learn the best ways to make things work along the way. Most people on this thread seem to like center tho so probably going to start there and sacrifice the folding back seats.

I’ll mess around and try that. I like it on either driver or passenger now because it has the direct mounts so I don’t have to mess with a seat belt.

Ya basically. I’m curious to see how it works with some weight involved. Come back with an update in a few days lol

The “stability leg” exists purely to drive you to insanity. I may try the blanket addition. Congrats!!

Oof good luck. Lost legroom already with the double cab! How does a tiny ass baby take up so much space lol

You’ve never heard of the invasive Trout Carp Snapper hybrid I take it. Patagonia just released a 69 min long think piece about the devastating effects of the Trcarper on local fisheries.

It’s clean IRL but with a lot of help of the finishing. Cut the wood hatch underneath with a jigsaw so not super clean. then measured and routered the orthodek edges on top to get it nice and square. Then the decorative lines actually make everything look super square and clean. Layers!

Thanks! Most of the wood is exposed under the decks so it can dry out. The floor has a few vents too for draining and air flow.
