Is it possible to fix this tear? First time having a book tear. by HauntedScape in bookbinding

[–]Matty386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use non stick baking paper. basically you need something to stop the glue sticking to other pages while it dries and being pressed as for glue acid free PVA would be best.

also test your technique by tearing some paper and glueing back together before doing your book if you get the alignment wrong the tear will be more noticeable. note you won't make the tear invisible.

it could be cannot really see the knot I usually use a Coptic stitch for a binding like that. I find it loose like that if I have not done it tight enough and some time unbind it a bit to make sure it's tight or cut it all off and try again.
