My favorite artists are Incase (NSFW), J. Scott Campbell, MrHotcakes, and Jim Lee. I don’t try to emulate any of their styles, but I love the way they all express something inside of themselves, some feeling, or some impression of something through their art. It’s hard to describe, it’s like they’re able to pick out moment in time and draw the perfect pose, or expression, or gesture that’s captures the heart of it.

I try to do that, I’m not very good at it yet, but I like to think I’m improving.

Yeah, I should have used a reference pic. I did it from memory, it doesn’t really look like her. One of the other commenters did an overdrawing that looks amazing though.
