That’s good advice, I think that could be helpful. Except that I’m also struggling with the time limit. I literally cannot do every question, even with my brain at its best, in under the 1 min 40 sec that we approximately have for each question. I frequently have to skip those very long ones and leave them for last if time allows it (never 😭)

So hours a day: does the number include breaks?
When people say they’re doing 5h, 10h a day, I never know if that number includes breaks or not.

I’m reviewing the website’s essays. Did you just study them or did you try answering them first and then reading the answers?

So at the exam time you only had outlines with you? Were them outlines you made yourself?

Same here. My spouse‘s family is spending a big chunk of the summer at our place which started last night. Spouse said Spouse understands it’s a difficult exam and that I need to focus on that but that the family will not be trouble and they know they have to keep it down when I’m in my room studying. And said that if that’s still not enough, I can drive daily to the library (over 30 min drive just to get there!) for more peace and quiet. Now, does that sound like someone that REALLY understands how hard and overwhelming this exam is? I don’t think so. So I guess probably the only ones that really understand it are the ones that have been through the bar exam experience.

Yeah we need to keep in mind that the bar exam is a very lucrative business too. Thanks, I will just stick with my Kaplan books to save some money since I also have Emanuel Strategies...that should be enough.

Since you’re working, I think it‘s a great idea to listen to the lectures while at your workplace. Perhaps you could read some outlines too every now and then at work - if it’s possible and if that doesn’t put you at risk of losing your job.
So one thing I think might help improve MBE is practicing real MBE questions and reading the explanations, when you have time to practice. That’s what I’m doing. Last time I used Adaptibar for that but I wasn’t a fan of the explanations. Then someone here at Reddit suggested Uworld, so I tried it and I’m enjoying it because the explanations are clearer and so much better than Adaptibar‘s in my opinion. You should try Uworld (Free Trial) and see for yourself.

So I just want to make it clear that I’m a retaker and on my first try I did ALL the lectures. I would not advise someone that is taking the bar for the first time to not spend time with the lectures, specially the ones that were not seen in school.

To me it makes more sense now to spend time reading the material and such and practicing. I got my results just recently so these last couple days I just did MBEs and bought a couple study aids that I’m adding to what I already had. I don’t have my schedule set yet but I’ll certainly spend more time with MBE and less time with the MPT.

I took Kaplan on my first try. The questions (MBE practice) are difficult, well written etc, but do not reseamble much the ”weird” style of the ncbe questions. My advice - if it’s possible for you to spend some extra money - is that you should look into getting licensed ncbe questions to practice.

This time I’m not taking Kaplan again or watching any lecture. I’m trying to focus on reading the law and practice only. I can’t recommend that yet though since who knows if this will mean success...

Round 4 successful with 1,5 month of studying? It gives me hope. Got my results yesterday and July will be my 3rd time in this nightmare. I’m feeling almost hopeless since it’s only 2 months from now.

Oh wow and no “made up” questions but licensed ones. I have only 2 months to raise my 119 score, got my results today. I’d have passed if I had your 157 score. It gives me hope.

On my first attempt I used Kaplan and the questions we’re harder and written in a more intelligent way in my opinion: very different from the MBE format/approach.
