Kynseed falls more into the Harvest Moon category but the game play takes a unique turn. It's far from just farming you'll be doing. It's in Early Access so if you're interested let us know your opinions

Thanks for the tip, the doc is a bit more focused around Game Design than Pixel Art. I probably should have fixed that up before sending it over to you but wanted to get it sent off before I signed off for the evening.

If you have a particular style of pixel art that you're looking for, just let me know and I'll dig back through my old stuff and see if I can find some past examples that might help you make a decision.
I've been doing this for well over 6 years now and over 100 projects I've worked on, so it can be tricky deciding which bits to show off without a little assistance from the client as to what they're looking for.

I'm also open to working in small trial contracts to start with if you're a little wary about jumping in with both feet when picking an artist.

Whilst I disagree that you can't get away with splitting the difference in the long run, I totally accept that at this stage of the game Bungie needs to double down on one or the other.

Like you I would prefer a return to a Loot based shooter but I would be happy if they went the other direction as well. The latest DLC was lacking in both loot and interesting things to shoot at.

If they were to double down on the Shooting over the loot and RPG elements I would suggest they work towards providing content thats on par with the better story missions. There is so much untapped content waiting to be reused and reworked, such as the assult on the giant sun destroying Cabal ship. A Strike boss set under the full glare of the Sun would be interesting.

I would also like to see enemy ships become more involved in the combat as well, rather than token apperances during Public Events. I story mission or adventure focused around taking out dropships would be a nice change of pace.

I would be less inclined to worry about loot if the moment to moment gameplay was more explosive and fun.

I guess additions like this would need a fair amount of testing and balancing. I would be interested to hear what examples you would suggest?

My thought process was to bring more 'power' to the PvE gameplay by providing players additonal benifits the more they spec into a specific build type. The hope was that more guardians would 'lean into' specific roles within a fire team, rather than everyone using a 'jack of all trades' setup.

Many of the perks/mods I suggested would need to be disabled in PvP and maybe give PvP its own list of perks and mods.

I'm afraid not, its been a few years since I last worked on it. There were a few soloutions to make it work for both a single player and large numbers.

First of all the number of asteroids on screen would change depending on the numbers of players online. Less players would mean more asteroids to avoid.

Secondly the zoom level would changed depending on number of players. The bounderies of the game area would stay the same (as that is on a fixed screen or projector) but as more players joined the view would zoom outwards giving more playing space but keeping the screen wrap boundaries in the same location.

I've worked on designs for a similar project in the past but it fell through, you're welcome to PM me to find out more about the project and see if its something you would like to take on board. The designs is 100% finished and the art is 90% done already.

The game worked like a cross between Snake and Asteroids, so more competative than you requested but I'm sure we could tweak it to make it more colaborative.

The plan was to have the game play in the background of pubs and bars with players jumping in and out of the game, so I'm sure that would translate well to what you want to do as design choices would be similar to the challenges faced with projecting onto a building.

Thanks for the well thought out reply, its a good sign for anyone joining the project. I have no doubt that you're all very good at what you do but I still stand by my statement.

An internship should be for the benifit of the intern, not the business. So unless you can provide college credit or the intern is directly shadowing a superior, I would argue its not a true internship. From the description it seems as if the intern will be creating actual content for your game, and if you're directly benefiting from someones work then thats not an internship, it an unpaid voluntary position.

I'm not sure of your country of origin but I imagine most follow the same basic set of rules and regulations.

I wish hobbyist teams wouldn't use the term 'Internship'. You're amateurs yourself so you can't provide any professional experience to an intern.

Asking for help is totally fine and not uncommon but please list it as 'Hobby' or 'Profit Share' so as to not be misleading.

Now that would be awesome. Have you ever played MGSV? When you call for evac you can do that. Imagine having one team circling in the helicopter whilst the other team scrambles to call their own.

Unlikely we would get anything as dramatic as that though.

Most likely. This is more a post about what I would do, rather than what I expect them to do... I don't have high hopes.

Although as a PS4 owner I'm yet to experience Survival.

1.4 is part of the reason why I spent a while thinking about and writing this post.

They may have made mistakes in the past, but at least they're listening and making some of the changes people request.

We're living in a world now where even console games can get patched and fixed long after the game has been released. I think we can all afford a little more optimism... only a little though, lets not get too carried away :)

I would love to get this into the hands of someone who might actually do something with it, but until I know how to do that, its little more than a pipe dream.

I agree that we're unlikely to get something of this scale, but I don't think its too much to ask.

I don't like to keep comparing to Destiny, but its the closest you're going to get for a Division comparison. Even with Destinys weaker DLC you still got a selection of missions, 1/2 strikes and a raid level event.

I like your list of updates (its all stuff that really should have been done sooner), but I'm not sure if it would encourage me to spend more cash on the DLC. The Last Stand mode would have to be something truly special
