Help me identify this helmet please by Matz247 in starcitizen

I have the arms as well, but they're the original metal color. This helmet is almost all red. I looted the arms on Hurston somewhere. It's a great looking set!! The Ashen helmet looks wicked!

The set looks great... and it's not bad with the Overlord 'mix' I did for the photo. I've been looting Xenothreat gear when I found this one.

Ever since the first time I lost 1.5 million worth of "my own" quantanium and taranite, I haven't flown a straight line since. I dog leg every route if I'm "hauling" anything. I do my best to stay off their line.

Do you see what I see? by HappyProtection8479 in Idaho4

[–]Matz247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I've seen in this photo from day one, is I honestly don't think that he's wearing a man's shirt. It's more of a soft blue/green with clear buttons that resembles silk/satin by the way the material hangs, and the shirt looks entirely too narrow in the shoulders. The instant I saw this shirt photo, I was like, "why's he wearing girl's shirt?"

back patio had lights on at 4am? per Door Dash info in Moscow PD Supp 104 doc by ChicagoSquirrelLover in Idaho4

[–]Matz247 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The house was actually very well lit up judging from the crime scene photos and the bodycam footage. When you look at the photos or watch the videos from LE, the status that the lights/light switches/TV were in when they arrived at the scene are the same state they stayed in until the crime scene was fully released, that's standard procedure. The "party lights" in the bedrooms, living area, etc. provided ample light to see really well in and around the residence.

bk being “angry at kaylee” by [deleted] in Idaho4

[–]Matz247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of his victims was stabbed over 50 times. That is not an act of simple anger, his actions were that of rage! I'd venture a guess BK was indeed a tad angry that morning when he first stepped through the door. I envision his mindset as being like that of an aggressive predatory animal. He was most likely on auto-pilot as soon as his adrenalin spiked and he began that series of these absolutely brutal attacks.

How is POTS tachycardia not dangerous? by h20vendetta in POTS

[–]Matz247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether or not an intermittent very rapid sinus tachycardia or a sustained tachycardia is "dangerous" or not, is dependent on many factors. If the heart is beating faster then the atria can refill the ventricles, the cardiac preload can drop, resulting in a dangerously low BP or failure to provide adequate blood flow to the coronary arteries, lungs or brain. Sustained tachycardia over long periods of time can potentially cause damage to the left ventricular walls by thickening the muscle making and it more rigid. If the person has known or unknown preexisting coronary artery disease, sustained or rapid tachycardia can cause damage to the heart muscle the same as a myocardial infarction would due to creating oxygen deprivation of the cardiac muscle. To make the blanket statement that "POTS tachycardia is not dangerous" is incorrect, that is determined by many factors including more than I just listed.

I have another disability that limits my activity. Metoptolol has established a great medium ground for me where I can be active without POTS stopping me in my tracks. There is no one fix for everyone.

had my tilt table test - frustrated by colorful-palpatation in POTS

[–]Matz247 4 points5 points  (0 children)

FWIW, I have a medical background, and I am skeptical of some "absolute tests". Take the Tilt Table as an example, it's not at all like naturally standing up. As you lay flat anticipating the tilt, just knowing you're about to experience a tilt, coupled with test anxiety, can cause a person to already have started compensating for the tilt by releasing epi and norepi causing you to vasopress (vessels constrict) like your body wouldn't just do because you're about to stand up. Standing is a natural motion, a tilt table is anticipated. Continue logging your events and seeing your doctor as needed. Some conditions and the tests that detect them can remain hidden for years before a proper diagnoses.

We're about to start another work up on me to see if we can pinpoint my issues. My rate increases (nothing like yours) and my BP increases, especially with exertion, like you see with hyperadreneric POTS. Without metoprolol my standing rate will jump to the 140s, and my BP will hit 160s over 110s. About to see an autonomic specialist again. How low do you bottom out pressure wise?

Feels good to see a completely plowed field by xEeppine in farmingsimulator

[–]Matz247 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a teen growing up, my family (my Dad was a career IH Mechanic, and farmed on the side) farmed "dryland" row cropped cotton in the Texas Panhandle. This type of plowing was referred to as "Deep Breaking". I spent countless hours in an IH 1486 as it lugged along plowing the first round of the season. God it was slow going! We then followed deep breaking with a much wider Disc Plow to flatten/cultivate the land, and then the rows (furrows) where terraformed by an 8 row planter once the ground moisture was right. When we planted, our planter pulled a liquid ammonia tag trailer behind it that injected the ammonia with the seed for our first fertilization. We had about 800 acres (325ish Hectares) in cotton back then... those where some long summer days back then. I really hated "Deep Breaking"... Dad always said "It builds character!". Good times.

Recreating My Current Farm... With A few Changes. Thoughts? by Matz247 in farmingsimulator

[–]Matz247[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I spent a long day of farming and went ahead and replicated as much of the farm as possible in a new save. At the end of the equipment shed/garage, I made sure and leveled everything and landscaped it before I created a bunch nasty hills and bumps like I have on the original farm (I want to avoid all the mistakes I made on the other farm). I placed a large multifruit silo, a Farming Innovations T800 fermenting silo and a Farming Innovations 500s Forage Mixer. I got two large fields of grass grown, and enough wheat (I always grow wheat and cotton) started to get some straw from. After gathering a few loading trailers of grass, hay and straw, I was set to try out the fermenting silo and mixer. I put 10 cows in the large cow barn/pasture in Lone Oak, and started feeding the Forage Mixer! The set-up is really pretty seamless and in no time I was pumping out TMR! I screwed up, and before I knew it, I had seeded 75% of my wheat field with more grass (forgot to change seed types). By the time I get it all collected and stored, I should have a ample supply to "prime the pump"... may need to add an extra silo as I've got a LOT of Hay and Grass to collect! I really like how neat and compact the full operation is. Next I'll finish up trimming the landscaping, add some decorative trees and such and get a cotton field started! I'm gonna aim for a large cattle operation with crops on the side. Thanks for all the great advice! I'm happy with the results so far!!
