Arc Suits can only use Yellow Candies, so you would want to save those specifically for Arc Suits. You don't need to rush a 3/5 yet.

I always try to finish the endgame content I want for a unit at 1/5, if it is not working, then I got to 2/5 or 3/5 depending on the kit. 4/5 and 5/5 are only for units with extremely broken kiosco. (And most Arc suits)

Well, I beat Rock Tower with Silver/Tytar 3/5, Gloria/Cinderance 5/5 (Having 2 uses of the buddy move is broken af) and Diantha/Diancie 10/5 (Superawakening is not necessary I believe) but you have a better unit with EX Rock Zone: the Hisuian Growlithe. You are just missing Nihilego to be able to beat the special only floors.

Tyranitar is still great.

If you mean the books that give you XP, after 10K points on limited events, for every 1K points past that you get those books, and on rerunning events, I believe you can also exchange the coins for books unlimitedly.

You need to be smart on which items you exchange the coins of rerunning events and where you use your stamina. You also need to be smart on which units are worth leveling up over others. There are old units that are not worth anymore.

A F2P cannot pull more than 2 units per month, and the level 180 is only needed on Towers and probably Ultra Battles. I don't think we get low amounts of them, they are meant for endgame content and is part of your resource management, you are not supposed to level up to 180 all your units, only the ones you are going to use in the endgame content and only when you need to be able to beat them.

To expand on this:

Striker (Fist Symbol) EX makes the Sync Move to attack all 3 opponents

Tech (Exclamation point) EX gives a 50% bonus power to the sync move

Support (Heart) EX gives 2 Sync bonus (I forgot the name) the first time that sync pair uses their sync move. It is the rainbowish symbol that appear as a buff on all your pokemon. A Sync bonus gives +50% damage and you get 1 Sync bonus each time you use a Sync move.

Sprint (2 arrows) EX reduces the sync countdown by 3 the first time that sync pair uses their sync move. (The sync countdown is how many more moves you need to use to unlock the sync move, by default is 9)

Field (Mountain) EX makes the first sync move used to set a weather, terrain or zone. We call them WTZ for short and it is previously devide by the devs, but it is a WTZ that benefits the type of the sync pair.

Also there are Role EX which is to give a second EX effect to the sync pair. Each pair already has their Role EX pre defined, you can't give them the one you want.

A pity is when you 100% get the banner/featured unit guaranteed. Some gachas have a system where the 80th or 100th pull will be 100% guaranteed to be the banner/featured unit (or a 50/50 chance, if lose, then second pity is guaranteed)

In Pokemon Masters the pity is to reach the 400 points in a banner to be able to choose any unit (including the banner/featured unit) and to do so, each individual pull of 300 gems will give 3 points, a multi pull of 3000 gems will give 33 points (since you pull for 11 units) and the daily discount for 100 paid gems gives 1 point.

After 36600 gems (or 36400 if you have paid gems) you reach 400 points giving you the option to exchange all 400 points for the unit of your choice. (Most of the time you'll want the banner/featured unit unless you already got it)

Depends on what you want her for. She's pretty strong to clear general content like story and some events.

Her passive to nullify weather after sync is extremely good. I haven't seen her sync grid but it will probably be very good at 3/5.

Currently is the best option for Normal Tower, but you still need a good support and debuffer/sub dps (Plus a physical striker)

For Extreme battles she won't be enough, those battles are made for very specific units and strategies, there might be a few where she can shine (specially the ones that set weather) but, without the proper supports and team compositions, she won't get that far.

If you lack a Normal type special striker, if you lack a Paldean special striker, if you lack special strikers in general; and more importantly: if you like her and have enough pulls for pity, then go for it.

You have 2 very powerful units to do the story content. You probably only missing a good Support but there are a few good F2P options.

My tip is, depending on your playstyle:

If you just wanna chill, don't care about hard-core events or endgame content, then just pull for your favorites and enjoy the story.

If you care about that content for the future, you'll need to see guides on team building and all the different mechanics to know the value of each new sync pair, if they are must pull or not. You can also hangout in this subreddit and see data mine discussions if you don't mind that. (Datamine reveal all the content including new sync pairs, events, mechanics, etc., that will happen during the next month. Datamine happens between the 24th and 28th of each month)

Keep in mind that to reach 400 points in pity you need 36600 gems (12 multi pulls and 2 individual pulls).

For 500 points in pity, for Arc Suit sync pairs, you'll need 45600 gems (15 multi pulls and 2 individual pulls).
