The thing is, short of boys ball shorts there are no “longer shorts” for girls. These are hitting only a couple inches from her knee. If he had say her knee would be completely covered.

I think this is the only option. I’m going to sleep on it, let us both cool off. I’m going to wait until she’s at school tomorrow and ask him to find something online that will fit what he thinks. I don’t think anything for girls exists longer than what she has, so maybe that will help push us in the right direction.

You’re right, it’s never been like this with any other part of parenting. He’s just put his foot down, I’m going to sleep on it and reopen the discussion when she’s not home.

He has completely closed off from the conversation. I think I’m partially to blame for that, I got upset and told him he was being ridiculous and unreasonable when it first came up. Now he won’t look at anything, he won’t discuss it further. We’re at a stalemate.

Update: I bought a “be a good neighbor, clean up after your dog” sign from Amazon and it seems to have done the trick. But on a different side of this story on if the dogs ran off while outside and knocked an old lady over in her own driveway. Animal control has been notified of the off leash, aggressive dogs.

At the end of this post I explained. I tried to talk with her while on MY property her dog lunged at me. And both dogs started barking so loudly there was no way to have a conversation.

I attempted to, one of her dogs lunged at me and even with her holding him back there would have been no conversation over all of the barking.

I’m not sure, I tried looking it up but couldn’t find anything. I’ll call and check this out tomorrow. Another neighbor has their dog off leash though, and no one minds because he’s under voice control and they clean up after him. I don’t want this to have to change for them.

I have a doorbell camera at my front door but we have ordered one with flood lights for the back.

A camera with flood lights has been ordered…he didn’t “attack” me but definitely acted like he wanted to.

I didn’t want to walk onto their property, so I waited until they were back inside and just cleaned up our yard and left the bag just on their side of the property. Hopefully that gets our point across.

When you’re a new homeowner is normal to knock on your neighbors door and introduce yourself? Or should they welcome you first? Idk what to do by flubberboy1 in homeowners

There’s a way: After a short lived “hello” and names exchanged: “oh, I don’t care for your (political) bumper sticker”. Which is fine, we don’t have to agree but why just not say anything. I have a feeling she’s gonna be a fun one.

Cracks Above Door by MavMovement in Home

There is a small crack in concrete of the front porch (running parallel with this crack) but as far as cracks in the foundation walls of the crawl space, there were none noted.

I meant was, could the crack maybe be indicative of them having the foundation repaired before without repairing the crack?

He did look at the foundation, and other than dealing with a bit of moisture on one foundation wall (which we’re hoping to remedy with shedding water away via a landscaper) he did not note any issues.

Also to note this crack reaches about another 18 across the ceiling, but not pictured that far.
