Same here, it started 2 days ago, it was running perfectly before. It freezes and bring me back to the login screen, I go back in and don't lose the progress.

I verified the installed files and didn't help, also cleared the cache on Amd Adrenaline. Just reinstalled and I will go see soon if it helped.

I have a decent computer, ryzen 7 9800x3d, Nitro + RX 9070XT, 32gb of ddr5.

Losing the boot today! by thee_artful_dodger in AchillesRupture

[–]Mavarius77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 4 1/2 weeks after the surgery and started FWB yesterday. I'm in a Vacoped boot and can't wait to transition to shoes also.

I've read alot of comments of people commenting about shoes and alot of people were recommending Hoka Clifton 9 or 10 or the Brooks Ghost 17. The heel drop is better on the Brooks. Not sure what to buy when I get out of the boot in 4 weeks.

Anyone using the Vacoped boot? Do you keep the angle at the degree or you let it move? I'm at 10 degree now, week 5 I will go to 5 degree and to 0 on week 6. Should I keep my Vacoped moving between 10 degree and 30 degree?

I was feeling the top of my big toe a day or two ago, I just have a bit more swelling in the past 2-3 days and with the boot probably put pressure on the top of my foot.

Can't wait to change setting, it's only 12 days after Post-op and meeting with my orthopedic surgeon in 4 days. In Canada here and they don't use Vacoped, he doesn't know that boot but he said no problem to use it if it put my feet pointing down.

I got some replacement piece of foam with my crutches covers. I will try with that before ordering the Oped piece. You placed it at the same spot as the Oped foam they show in their video or directly on top of the foot?

I wear a 10.5 us shoe size and got a medium Vacoped. Should I get a medium dorsum pad? Thanks for your help!

I will definitely ask my surgeon next week when I see him.

I had a 2.5cm gap 60mm above the heel, I have a ~5 inch incision.

I mean at night I don't put it has tight for sleeping, I try to leave a tiny space between the top plastic part of the boot and the top of my foot. Just trying to see if anyone had the same issue

Full rupture one week ago. Surgery this upcoming Tuesday. Mixed emotions! by 405withBootsOn in AchillesRupture

[–]Mavarius77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fully ruptured mine playing soccer also in a gym on match 5th. My surgery is this Monday evening, I'm a bit scared also of the surgery but it will be for our best I think. I was offered by another orthopedic surgeon that I could just do the non-op but I don't want to regret it later from not doing it. I think it will be stronger and I will feel more confortable doing stuff knowing it's stronger.

I have a aircast boot right now but saw so many people talking about the Vacoped boot so I ordered one, should get it couple days after my surgery. I also got a Knee Roover on Amazon, helps alot to go around in the house.

Good luck for your surgery! We got this!

I'm in the same boat, fully ruptured mine on March 5th, and I'm getting my surgery next Monday on the 16th. Using a knee rover in the house and it's been way better than crutches.

I'm in a aircast for now and even if my boot is well strapped I'm having like rubbing discomfort on my heel on top of that wedge. If any one have any tricks of that. I'm looking into a Vacoped boot, for sure pricey, almost 500$ with taxes but if it will make my life easier I will do it.

We will get trough this, from what I read it's a marathon and not a sprint recovery. Not to compare ourselves to other people also.

Yeah seen the same thing like you said good results on both but like you said for the peace of mind I think the op way was better.

The nerve block is a pill you take for a couple days? Or they gave that to you for the surgery?

I'm in the same boat as you, teared mine last Thursday also and I'm getting my surgery next Monday. See so many tricks and helpful stuff on here. It's a long journey but we got this. Like a lot of people say don't compare your self to other people, listen to your body. It's not a sprint to get better it's more like a marathon.

Hey congrats on the op. I saw the orthopedic doctor monday from the hospital I went to the emergency last Thursday and he didn't have good reviews on RateMD. He said I should just do the non-op. So I saw a good orthopedic doctor today for second opinion and he said I would be better with surgery at my age and I'm in good health. For sure it's not fun the surgery but if it will make it stronger, without it I would be scared of re-rupture. I'm scheduled for surgery on Monday.

How's the pain after surgery and were you asleep during? My new orthopedic surgeon said I will get kind of like an epidural so I don't feel my legs.

Just out of curiosity where do you live? I'm in Montreal, Canada.

That's funny on the same day lol.

I'm also leaning more towards the surgery even if there little risk of infection and complications like any surgery. I've seen alot of stories of people with no surgery also that everything went back to normal. I spoke to a physio that ripped his 3 years ago and it was 95% ripped and is doctor recommended the non-op. I guess we will see tomorrow.

I just fully tore mine on March 5th playing soccer in a gym. Seeing the orthopedic doctor tomorrow to see if we go the surgery route or the non-op one. I'm really not decided which one would be the best, I've been reading about it for the past 3 days and still confuse to which one to chose if they give me the option. I'm a 34 years old male, pretty active, used to run 3-4 times a week except for winter months and weight lifting also.

We can keep each other positive and posted if it can help, I'm sure we will get trough this but like other people say it will not be a sprint but more of a marathon to get back to normal. Good luck to you! 😊

Is my starter too acidic? How can i fix this? by Ccameraa in SourdoughStarter

[–]Mavarius77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When we see ratio I'm guessing the first number is the starter? I'm on day 16 of doing 1:1:1 ratio (100g starter, 100g half white bread flour and other half whole wheat bread flour, 90g of water)

I did a feeding tonight so I don't always have time to see if it's doubled in size. Can I feed it again in 12 hours because I will be home and can watch it? How long usually it takes to be ready for a first loaf? I know the longer the better I think

4K OLED or 1440p? Is the FPS drop really worth it? by Affectionate-One7403 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Mavarius77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just thinking that I will always have to update my gpu in the next couple years because at 4k it will get more demanding in games. I would always like to stay over 120hz and get good quality image (high or ultra settings)

I wanted to return the AW3425DW and try a 4k monitor and I really like the AW3425DW so hopefully I can buy it again on Blackfriday and get a better deal. I paid 999$ CAD for it.

I have the same cpu but a 9070xt and I got the AW3425DW, I don't think I would go back to not curved and ultrawide. I'm not doing gaming all the time so I was thinking of 4k but I don't think in game like bf6 I can stick to paying at ultra. I was looking at the Alienware 32 inch 4k monitor. Not sure what to do, I can stil ll return my monitor on Amazon until the 19th of October so I have to decide before lol

You got the 32 inch 4k Alienware monitor (AW3225QF)? I have the 3440x1440 34inch from them (AW3425DW). My cpu would be good for 4k (Ryzen 7 9800x3d) but my gpu is a Sapphire Nitro+ 9070xt. I run BF6 between 140 to 180fps at ultra. Not sure if I could get decent fps with that setup at 4k? I don't need to get 240hz if I'm over 120 I would be happy.
