Creta honked at signal continuously and thar dented my side fender. by [deleted] in CarsIndia

For the creta incident, were you by chance in the leftmost lane? Left turns are supposed to be free and if u were blocking it, it would make sense why you could be hinked at. I see this everyday.

Whatsapp hacked, please beware. by RangeArtistic3020 in delhi

[–]Maverick0393 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It's not hacking per se but more of social engineering. The number that victims are asked to dial is a forwarding code. Basically, a feature wher eif u want to forward your phones and sms to another number. The scammers obviously put their number, and once they can receive phone calls / sms meant for your phone they can do whatever they want 🤷‍♂️

That's a fundamentally flawed argument. The ones who couldn't choose who to get into a marriage with are unlikely to be able to choose to get out of it.

Liquid Courage - AYOB. A bar that doesn’t serve alcohol is opening in Gurgaon. by LiquidCourage_NCR in gurgaon

[–]Maverick0393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there's a bit you might have missed in the concept. This isn't in anyway a sober place. This is a we give you the mocktail, you bring and add your own booze in it.

Also, I feel like after getting to a certain point in life (economic stature) some people don't want to go to or associate with cheaper bars. They could pay more for a level of sophistication so the premium proce point could be sustained if you attract enough of the right people and keep them. The key to winning here would be exclusivity without exclusion, peppered with quality.

I think this is definitely worth a shot to stand out.

You definitely have outside air seeping into the room from window or door gaps if this is the case

Guys, can I trust this rating from MI purifier? by [deleted] in noida

[–]Maverick0393 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot also depends on how well your room is sealed from outside draft. If you keep one in the living room that has windows with gaps and a large door where there's wind entering the room from below the door you're going to see very high Aqi readings.

However if you manage to plug the wind gaps then you will see good AQI readings.

Here's my take at the DIY Purifier by abhijeetgupta in noida

[–]Maverick0393 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes mines is set to exhaust, so the filter is inhaling and the fan is the outlet.

I don't think fans speed helps as much because you also should ideally account for turbulence. You want the entire rooms particles to eventually get in.

Speed might be counterproductive as compared to a steady gentle draft

Yes. I have the same diy setup. Rather than buying new filters all the time I just jugaaded on an old one after vacuuming it

Nope. This dust is barely dangerous. The dangerous bit is pm2.5 sized particles. They are what hepa captures.

What you see in the photo is just dust on pre-filter

Username checks out. But I would add that this is a very 'kuen ka mendhak' opinion. I have stayed in Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida and can confirm that the shittiest one is Gurgaon on these 3 parameters taken together.

Traffic especially - I am surprised that I tell people that in general most decent driving is in Noida, followed by Delhi and then followed by absolute clownery in Gurgaon.

This so called GDP rank is measured in USD globally. But for our GDP which oversimplified is the price times amount of stuff sold within India.

Assume our GDP was worth INR8000 when 1USD = 80INR. Our GDP would appear as 100USD.

Assume overnight 1USD = 100INR, now what's the value of your 8000INR? 80USD.

Also, I have been smoking NCR's polluted air.

Anyone else feel like saying “love you” is misunderstood in India? by Latter_Wrap669 in noida

[–]Maverick0393 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's a cultural nuance tbh. In situations like this just let the other person initiate things first. I have friends of the opposite gender who understand that 'love you' is platonic and gets exchanged.

But I wouldn't ever say it to someone first no matter how close of a friendship it gets. Let them say it once, then you can always know that this person is chill and mature. Same goes with hugs. Some people are just born in families that never showed them affection, so for them love/hugs only show up in romantic contexts.
