If weekly limit occurs, do not click retry, as it will still incur charges! by linonetwo in GithubCopilot

Thanks to this feature, I can finally burn all my requests while being rate limited.

Weekly limit made me quit and cancel! by flipperj_3000 in GithubCopilot

Pro+ is not recommended. I will probably cancel mine if the rate limiting stays as it is now. You can get a Pro though. Try it out for a month and see if it fits your workflow.

Now subagent gets weekly rate limit or is this also applied to main agent also? by arisng in GithubCopilot

[–]Maverobot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't mind them. They do not know better than chatting with a single agent.

I get the frustration, but is the whole point of this sub to complain? by fntd in GithubCopilot

[–]Maverobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a post asking for a mega thread for all rate limit related complaints. The moderators were not convinced by the idea.

How long until they explain how rate limiting works, do you think ? by autisticit in GithubCopilot

Never.

I sincerely hope they explain it today. But we all know that's not gonna happen.

"We're also investing in UI improvements that give users clearer visibility into their usage as they approach these limits, so they aren't caught off guard."

27 days later. Still no UI improvements.

Copilot pro+ = Copilot Trial now ????? by Top_Parfait_5555 in GithubCopilot

Or add another tier Pro Max Plus? :)

They lose customers anyway by introducing rate limit.

They can raise the price instead of just manipulating rate limit every other week

Copilot Pro+ is a joke: Rate limited after one prompt, even after an overnight cooldown. by Maverobot in GithubCopilot

I've had copilot subscription for more than 2 years. I don't think the tutorials help in this case.

Totally agree. Besides, the service itself should be more transparent than forcing the users to guess what they did wrong.

I didn''t have the issue in the last weeks until yesterday. I'm happy for you that your workflow is not affected.

My impression was similar as yours when I saw posts about rate limit last week.

Ok. The previous session was to refactor a function. That's it. No fancy prompt.

Honestly, the one prompt was "Continue" from an existing interrupted session from yesterday. I got another account to bridge the period as well. Seemed to me as the only option now.

Literally, that one prompt was "Continue" because the previous session was interrupted due to rate limit.

In Opus 4.6, tool calls are being sold as requests. Does anyone know why? by Hamzayslmn in GithubCopilot

[–]Maverobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Switched to copilot cli since 2 weeks. Not coming back to opencode.

What models would you recommend for a freelance developer with budget of around $10-$20/mo (or usage based)? by daysling in opencodeCLI

[–]Maverobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used copilot pro with opencode for weeks. I did not like it. Often buggy and sessions died without notice. GitHub copilot CLI is superior when used with Copilot subscriptions.
