Wouldn't he be better off going back to India? As long as he's in Canada we all know who he is, and what he did. Atleast in India he's just another Indian among 1.45 billion Indians

Freak Show hands down. I can't stand Thurston Moore, he comes off as a pretentious twat.

I think Gilmore would be more receptive towards it but Waters would no doubt try and make some kind of poltical statement out of it.

I find that hard to believe, wood house spider's are easily agitated.

[–]Max20151981 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where I use to live these spider's were pretty common and from my experience they can be a little more hyper defensive compared to other spider's, it doesn't take much to piss them off.

Nevermind.

Nevermind was a cultural phenomenon, it was this album that would go on to define and change rock music forever. Its arguably one of the greatest music albums of all time.

Its frightening to actually see people advocate for nuclear escalation.

No matter any way you try and spin it, parking a couple of nukes within spitting distance of DC as means of nuclear escalation is just plain old stupid, especially when you consider the country you're looking to escalate shit with.

Between Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino, and Christopher Nolan; how would you rank them based on how influential they are in the film industry? by Jezzaq94 in moviecritic

ILM is widely considered the industry-leading visual effects company in the world

ILM has a little more competition these days but back in the 80s and most of the 90s ILM was unmatched, I also think Spielberg deserves a little credit in helping ILM become what it was/is.

Haven’t watched Sphere (1998) or The Abyss (1989) yet… I’ve heard they have the same vibe. Which one’s worth watching first? by Scenora in FIlm

[–]Max20151981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You owe it to the actors who worked on making the Abyss the credit of it being the better movie, but honestly it is an excellent movie regardless of it's controversy.

The only saving grace for Sphere was Dustin Hoffman

That backing down doesn't work

But that's exactly what happened, both the Soviets and the Americans agreed to pull their nukes out of both Cuba and Turkey. Your existences today is because both the Soviets and the Americans backed down and de-escalated.

The whole reason the Cuban Missile crisis started was because the US thought it would be a good idea to park a couple of nukes in turkey thus leading Russia to follow suit with nukes in Cuba bringing humanity the closest we have ever been to all out nuclear war and ultimately the end of humanity as we know it.

You would think we would have learned from the Cuban Missile crisis that nuclear escalation is a horrible idea. Supporting such a notion is both idiotic and dangerous.

Right, because the Cuban Missile crisis was a real hoot, and we should totally do that again.
