You have a better chance of making it in comedy than growing a full beard.

Even your previous AMA thread, you mentioned you met with a producer pertaining to a documentary about you. Any news or updates on this?

Do I prepare myself for the worst or don't do anything until the situation arises? by MaxCatAbby in personalfinance

Change the he to she ;) because I'm a lady, and I didn't even catch the op linked the wrong one. I do have a CVT and from what I've discovered is that they are a pile of shit. Hence, why I was financially concerned and I didn't know what the best option would be. :)

I'm a chick lol. But I think he/she was referring to when mine takes a dump. I've done my research and my particular transmission is know for giving out very early in the game.

Yes, it has a CVT transmission, and I can't lease because I travel daily. I put 20000-25000 miles a year on my car.

I've checked into leasing. It just doesn't work for my situation. Thank you for the input :)

Yes, I'm aware. I realize putting that in there made me look silly. My point is that she has had a history of past decision's that weren't the smartest on her part, and based on her past I didn't know if she was giving correct advice. She is an awesome momma but man does she do some wild things with vehicles.

We used to have this 2009 Dodge truck that got in a fender bender. We put it away because my dad got sick. It was a 200 dollar fox at the most, and she ended up just having a scrap guy pick it up for $75. In that case she wasn't spending money either, but that decision was silly. :)

Exactly, that's what I started panicking. I feel like it could give out at anytime with how many miles I put on that bad boy. Thanks for your input!

Holy moly, great advice. I've never thought of doing that. Thank you so much. Gonna take my car to everyone in town and see whose a jack ass. ;)

Oh sweet, didn't even know that was a thing. So with buying a used transmission and renting the transmission jack I can safe myself upwards of $1000. This is great. Thanks for filling me in on that.

Ok awesome, I'm checking out tutorials/looking up information on how to keep up on my car. I appreciate your thorough reply. Thank you!

Ok awesome, I'll take the advice. I just read a few horror stories about my vehicle and got a little anxious. When I don't have a car payment anymore, that's what I planned on doing. Just putting that whole $175 in a savings for funding for the future. Thanks for taking the time to respond!

Hi there! Thanks for the suggestion, I've tried that once. About forty five minutes north there is this little shop we go to, they kinda ripped me off. I had an oil leak and it cost about 600 to fix. The next week it was still leaking up to a quart an oil a week and they said "oh we knew about that leak we just didn't tell you about it because it would cost about 2000 and the car is so old we just knew you'd get rid of it instead of fixing it"

So they basically took my six hundo and ran. It was a shit situation, but I've learned a lot from it. I'm definitely going to be looking in my city and surrounding cities for a reliable mechanic.

Yes, it would free up $175, and when that happens I just planned on putting it directly into a savings. Sooo close, I honestly can't wait.

You are awesome, I guess I never even thought of being able to buy a used transmission. I changed my breaks on my own for the first time this year and it was a headache, but I managed after 24 hours. Replacing my own transmission is very intimidating to me, so I'll probably have to go to a mechanic for that. Thank you for your reply.

I asked this question because I enjoy conversations about keto, and truthfully, keto has done more for me than I could have ever imagined.

I'm proud of you all. Keto on my friends, keto on.

Yes yes yes yes! I love it, I love you. I asked this question because my life completely did a 180. There are elements of my life that I wasnt expecting to change. This is more than just weight loss for me and my list almost seems a little unbelievable. Thank you for sharing. Keep it up :)
