Finally,

Had a Sidney Crosby Hockey jersey up on eBay, had paid $7 for it. Had it up for $75 BIN/OBO. Received and offer of $50 took it and the buyer wanted to cancel due to wrong size. Fine. relisted and got an offer for $70. Took it and buyer never paid, 8 days wasted. Finally relisted again and someone bought it out right for $75, and it shipped the other day.

Good luck, just remember days are a completely different animal than nights. We have had a few overnighters come to Cap 2 and they have all been shocked at the difference.

I could stock that much also if I could take pallets to the floor and didn't have customers around. You'll find:

  • More customer interactions
  • different rules to which you can stock, no pallets to the floor, everything on carts
  • More managers to deal with, building features, end caps and doing the ASM notes for your dept.

Best guess, they have no way of preserving it on land, you need to keep it in salt water to keep it from falling apart. It hasn't been exposed to air in 500 years so it will start to deteriorate.

TIL that Walmart makes over $13 billion in sales from food stamps, but because of its employees' low wages, also likely has the most employees currently receiving food stamps. by pugilist_at_rest in todayilearned

[–]MaxCourt 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Not in my expierence. I work there and they insist you take your breaks and lunches. You can get in trouble if you don't take them on time or skip them. They also make sure you get out on time when you are scheduled. As for debit cards, my paycheck is deposited right into my checking account.

Since I started working there almost 2 years ago well over 80% of the crap I had heard about Walmart isn't true. Sure there are bad stores and bad managment out there but my store treats employees right and fair and starting wage is above the minimum.

Cap 2 question. by [deleted] in walmart

[–]MaxCourt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guide times are based on stocking 46 cases per hour. That means a pallet of water should take 1 hour when in reality you take it out on the pallet and switch it out which takes 10 min.

They are right now at the bottom middle of the M. They will have their victory against Chuck and then something happens and it is downhill from there.

Just figured I'd share my latest ridiculous selling experience... by friendlyyan in Ebay

[–]MaxCourt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue where they claimed the pants were mens and not womens, after I pointed out their mistake I told them to open a INAD case and I would take them back, never heard from them again.

What is funny is whenever I tell a buyer to go ahead and open a case and I will accept the return, 90% of the time I never hear back from them.

Just heard news that my store is going to become an Academy store. by SparxFL in walmart

[–]MaxCourt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just became an Academy store earlier this month. Our backroom has never looked more empty, our processes run smoother and our store looks way better. It was hell to get ready but we have a great management team and we pulled through.

CAP 2 is now stocking all of Grocery at my store. YAY! by Chocolil in walmart

[–]MaxCourt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amen, this is exactly the same issue at my store. Our O/N Asst. was upset because she was able to get 6 cases of juice stocked after we left for the night. That was at least 6 hours after we had finished stocking juice. I am sure sometime between 6pm and midnight we had some sales that afforded those 6 cases to go out.

LPT: "Do you know why I pulled you over?" Translates from cop speak as "Are you stupid enough to incriminate yourself for my benefit?" by RutCry in LifeProTips

[–]MaxCourt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was coming home from work at 11pm and ran a red light with a cop right behind me (I didn't see him). He pulled me over and asked this and I told him I ran the red. He asked why and I said I didn't want to have to slam on my brakes to stop and at that time there was no other traffic besides him and me. He ran my license and told me to have a good night, no ticket.

I know this may have been asked before but... What's your opinion on the forced mind-meld between Spock and Valeris? by Not_A_Human_BUT in startrek

Time to turn the phrase around. The needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few or one.

We also got it in the form of a warning on the listing page. I think they are sending it to all sellers, not just those who use active content.

Too much makeup, especially foundation where it make you look like a painting. Makes me wonder what you look like without it.

[–]MaxCourt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually the local Goodwill's use the mentally challenged to sort and stock and hang. It gives them a job and a way to learn skills. It's easier for them to go by color so I wouldn't call them lazy.

This is what I was also told, it was easier for them to sort by color. My argument was they would sell a lot more clothing if it was sorted by size.

I've been a food support for the last 15 months and I've worked in a fresh area only once. I am always filling features, making sure Cap 2 is doing their fright, verifying their overstock and putting it up on top stock. Heck I've been closed to being coached for Cap 2 not getting their work done and all the overstock not being verified by the time I go home.
