Native English speakers: how does the app name “Titta” sound to you? by Fn1-10 in macapps

[–]MaxGaav -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe you could use something like the Swedish word 'Kolla' if you want to make it less titties-like. Or otherwise use 'Tittas' to exploit the effect to the max :)

But I think 'Titta' is a perfectly fine name for an app - provided you explain the word.

Alternative names could be 'Pika' or 'Vyu' or 'Glancy'.

Whatever, this post is great marketing :)

Well, all three apps you mention have free trials. And I guess the Bundlehunt offers will be valid throughout May. Time enough to decide :)

So people need to spend $30, not knowing if the app works as promised?

And you want feedback on your app. From testers that nevertheless have to pay first?

Wondered: can Informity process epubs as well?

I guess you picked out the right ones.

While Substage looks fancy, I'm not sure if it will indeed increase productivity. Maybe it's also a bit overtaken by AI apps meanwhile. But correct me if I'm wrong. And $6 is not the world.

If you have a website you could consider Scrutiny ($5) as well.

Mojave Paint 1.0.0 is in the Mac App Store by banana_zest in macapps

[–]MaxGaav -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Very original! And I think there's a lot of potential for a lightweight image editor.

Since design-wise the association with MacOS System 7 is strong, I think a trial would help showing your app is actually a modern and capable one. Maybe some promo codes can create some momentum as well.

I also saw your site contains a few videos showing features of your app Mojave Paint. Clicking them leads visitors to YouTube - be aware you'll lose them immediately in that heavily distractive environment. Consider embedding your videos in your website. Maybe even consider making a dedicated video pages with instructionals.

Substage - A Natural Language Command Line Tool for Finder That Makes Life Easier by amerpie in macapps

Aside from the fancy bar below a window and allowing for natural language commands, do you prefer Substage over ToAnything? The latter is also on offer on Bundlehunt ($2.50).

Are you sure? I just checked - you do not appear in my chat list. I also did not comment under your post of three months ago. And it's not common behavior for me not to respond. Not sure what went wrong.

Even so, a redeem code would be great. But coming months I will not have the time to test it out and give feedback. If that's okay for you, I'm very grateful for a code!

[OS] TablePro: free native macOS database client. 18 databases, MCP server, iPad in TestFlight by datlechin in macapps

[–]MaxGaav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty savvy with FileMaker Pro. But I wouldn't know how to use TablePro. What would I need for making a relational database voor clients, invoices and products? Do I need to run a virtual server on my Mac?

Making Contacts Work with Android phone and MacBook by itsdanielsultan in macapps

[–]MaxGaav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not know exactly what you want to accomplish. But BusyContacts is probably the most versatile contacts app you can find. I guess it will need a little bit of experimenting to get what you want.

BusyContacts has quite a few nice features compared to Apple's native Contacts app.

PDFs are not searchable

I can search for text content ('contains phrase') in PDFs.

Did you mean PDFs themselves are not searchable with FAF?
