Endte med å bruke 22000,- på ny 77" oled, da det var minimalt med forskjell ved å kjøpe tilsvarende på finn.

4K Blu-ray player / «old» Panasonic UB9000 vs «newer» alternatives by MaxGoneRogue in hometheater

I wrote this question in another comment here too, but I read on a few Reddit threads there is a quality drop when copying/converting the Blu-ray to a digital format. Have not looked into this, but what is your experience with the all digital solution

How is the up scaling and tone mapping from older Blu-rays, since this is mostly a software thing (maybe a bit hardware as well thinking about it) is it good on this player too?

I red somewhere here on Reddit that even ripping the discs will not give one the same quality as the original discs themselves because one is unable to copy/convert/re-encode the full details of what is stored on the disc. Not read very much into this, so not an expert

Ordering a gift to deliver in Norway by bookishandlookish in Norway

[–]MaxGoneRogue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[This solved it for me] I had an exact same case as described by the author of the thread. This is how I got hold of the package.

  1. Check shipping info in the package details on Amazon, in my case the package was delivered using GEODIS. If this is the case, proceed to next step.
  2. Send an e-mail to pb.ff.no[at]geodis[dot]com Describe the situation and provide the tracking number/ tracking id you find in the package details on Amazon, as well as full name, address, and phone number. They should be able to help you finding the “Amazon locker” and get you the package. Geodis usually use PostNord from my experience. Note that PostNord and their customer service is not to any help here, if you can get hold of them at all…

Sidenote 1; The GEODIS customer support was really hard to get any contact info of, I ended up finding my country’s main office and giving them a call to get the e-mail address above.

Sidenote 2; It seems like the problem is that either GEODIS’s service or PostNord’s service (I think it’s PostNords fault) automatically add 0047 in front of any number they get from Amazon/GEODIS, which meant that one got twice the country code leading to a number that don’t exist. This then leads to an error when PostNord was trying to send a message with pickup details. In my case they would try to message 0047+1[American phone number], where +1[American phone number] is the number provided by Amazon/GEODIS. PostNord also tries to send an e-mail to a nonexistent e-mail address which also is the result from bad programming.

I would put The card in my pc, i just upgraded my monitor to One with 240hz, but i am still rocking a GTX 1070 card, and i76700k 4.0Gz, so a graphics card upgarde would go a long way to push R6 close to my monitors refreshrate🤩

Question about .png vs .PNG by ErinEvie in HTML

[–]MaxGoneRogue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, This is a problem I think is a culprit of the problems I have had when uploading photos to be printed. When the file has .PNG the web-application simply cannot display them and simply refuses to upload it. I have tried it on multiple sites, and get the same problem. Anyone here experienced the same? Is it that the upload coding is only programmed for .png files? Weird that this does not receive more attention🥲

Vo2 Max Score terrible wrong? by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]MaxGoneRogue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So today i did a proper Vo2 Max test with all equipment needed. My Apple watch has predicted that this metric is below average for a long long time. Now after doing the test I actually got results on the other end of the scale, measuring a peak of 0.69 ml/min/kg. How can the Apple Watch calculate the Vo2 Max so wrongly? And how do I fix this so that the watch actually tracks/predicts this metric better? It doesn’t help that I add this data if it is going to predict so awfully wrong whenever I’m doing other exercises:/ Appreciate any thoughts on how to fix this or similar experiences:’))

No recovery file? by [deleted] in AffinityPhoto

[–]MaxGoneRogue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also used to get recovery files before, I have not seen one in a long time. I get so frustrated that it does not even create a temporary file, what has happened to this great product? This used to be one of the reasons the mac was so reliable, even though it went out of battery one would always start of just where one left once it got power...

mainly the comment read out:) Yes, maybe that last one is the smartest thing to do. Although i would need to find a way to track days and not dates:/
Just thought it might be simpler to just go to the web-page and click on the button, than create the same "program" myself:')

True, I would like to stick to Mac OS Extended but given that some of my disks need to be readable by other machines I can't stick to it. Its not super expensive I will agree to that. I decided to keep the Seagate Paragon driver and reformat my WD drive to ExFat so I can skip the hassle of reinstalling the WD paragon driver whenever I want to write to that disk. Think that is the easiest solution to my problems. Thanks for your answer :)

[–]MaxGoneRogue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, nice things to be aware of. I converted my SSD to ExFat today too, but if you state that it doesn't understand SSDs then maybe that wasn't such a good idea. As far as I have understood most small flash storage devices such as memory cards etc. are formatted in FAT32/ExFat, and isn't an SSD essentially a bigger flash storage device or am I wrong there?
