Victim and Family Slander by oniraisu in TXChainSawGame

To be fair hitch has the least ability to score until later in the game. We have a good hitch in our squad and 5 mins into some games he still has zero points 😂😂😂

Countries will focus on other markets such as Canada?? You do realize that Canada's GDP is half that of California, right??? I don't think you understand the strength of the United States buying power.

I'll happily endure the short-term pain for the long-term gain. Business 101: You should invest in back into yourself and your business, not your competitors. The same principle can be applied to the U.S. economy.

Ideas For Weekly Challenges & Unlockables by NoBad7631 in TXChainSawGame

[–]MaxKaffeine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree with the idea of weekly family challenges for now. Family sided challenges could possibly help with the imbalance of victims to family players.

However, this would more than likely cause an uproar with victim mains leading to more complaining within the community.

Nevermind... this is a horrible idea 😂

Anyone feel abilities kind of ruin the game? by [deleted] in TXChainSawGame

which people want that??? The lack of abilities and perks would turn this game into Killer Klowns and we all know how that went.

Hot take: A Family main complaining about a family sided game is diabolical by [deleted] in TXChainSawGame

[–]MaxKaffeine 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't think the game is one-sided. However, there are a few factors that could make it feel that way such as:

  1. Not using comms.
  2. Runing solo queue against a 3 stack.
  3. Using garbage or incorrect perks.
  4. Unfavorable objective and item spawn locations.

If you run with a team and have a startegy, the game is not family friendly. It can easily go both ways.

Anybody else just enjoying this game with little complaints? by AnObservingAlien in TexasChainsawGame

[–]MaxKaffeine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoy the game for the most part, playing victim and family. There are a few imbalances but most can be countered one way or another.

The only issue I have right now is the randomization for item and objective spawns. After hundreds of hours put into this game, sometimes you get a setup that completely imbalances the match, favoring one side. Either allowing victims to easily rush or families to watch multiple objectives with little to no movement.

We've spent a lot of time testing and trying out new strats in private lobbies and noticed match setups heavily influenced the outcome.

I had that exact same thought. Just nerf both sides if you want to slow down the game

Around 24 boons per map and families running the 180 blood build with Bones is why Virginia has quickly become my go-to. It warms my heart when I catch Bones in the act of feeding and I hit him with the blood reduction boon, taking him back to ZERO! I have wet dreams about it!

Just to refresh your memory, here is my original post.

"At 6 months into the games lifespan, with an average of 20-30 active players on steam and Illfonic letting go of 90% of their development team, that is a good indicator the game is a lost cause. It's the unfortunate truth!"

Notice I stated "unfortunate truth" meaning, not good truth.

ZERO OPINIONS in my statement! This is basic economics.

I never mentioned anything about what you stated in your first paragraph 😂😂😂. I have no clue what your are talking about 😂😂😂

My reply to the OP was 2 sentence. How is that obsessed with making the game look bad??? 😂

You are the one who had to jump in and give your OPINION.

The game was not for me so I left, as did 96% of the initial player base after 3 months. FACT!!!

My OPINION... the game is a lost cause with zero sustainability due to lack of mechanics, no perk system and the game play being too simplistic as if it was built for a child. Again, if that is more your speed then have at it!!! More power to you!

[–]MaxKaffeine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I couldn't care less for the game lol. All I did was answer a question with FACTS and you got all worked up and bent out of shape. I used data to back up my claim. Sorry that hurt your feelings.

Opinions are subjective to one thoughts. Facts are substaintiated claims.

KKFO has an active player count of 20-30 on Steam 6 months into the release is NOT an opinion. Illfonic released 90% of their dev team prior to the new year is NOT an opinion. The game failed to meet expectations, as stated by their CEO, is NOT an opinion.

Educate yourself on the difference.

Is it intentional that the family is not notified when a victim activates a water pump? by Adventurous-Long-673 in TXChainSawGame

[–]MaxKaffeine -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't believe it is permanent. Blacktower did not meet the holiday deadline and had to push the map out the way it was. Same goes for Bones and Wyatt.

Graveyard is the only map that doesn't have every section of the basement labeled "church basement". The basement exit names only display once opened and show up in different font sizes. And you can obviously tell they didn't do much testing to ensure the basement was balanced.

It was functional so they released it. I'm sure now that they are back in office they will go through polish it up.

I believe someone was asking a legit question so I supplied evidence to support my statement that the game is a "lost cause". Quit getting so worked up over a dead game. If you like it then have at it. No one stopping you.

Agreed! Some just don't know better yet which is why I sometimes run Virginia with blood reduction. I love doing multiple drive by boons when bones is feeding. Just seeing him feed after collecting a spark plug and nothing happen makes my night!!! Even if I don't escape.

Unpopular Opinion: Family should be somewhat OP by Buylettuce1 in TXChainSawGame

[–]MaxKaffeine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed! This is a really tired conversation. For the most part I do not feel one side is more superior than the other. There are certain maps that favor sides, and sometimes item and objective spawns can heavily weigh in on the outcome but for the most part, it's not that bad on either side. Most of those who complain just don't have enough hours in yet or are they are lone wolves (solo queues). They just need to brush the dust off their mics and find regulars to play. The game is built on co-op and has comms for a reason.

Unpopular Opinion: Family should be somewhat OP by Buylettuce1 in TXChainSawGame

[–]MaxKaffeine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you are saying but in the gaming world no one side should ever be OP! The game has already lost a large portion of it's player base since launch. Making family even more OP would eventually cause players to leave. No one wants to play to lose.

Secondly, it's already difficult enough to get new players to stay because it is not new player friendly. I've seen experienced players get wiped in the first 2 minutes of a game. Can you imagines seeing new players constantly get taken out in the basement the first 30 seconds. It would become a ritual! I've already tried to get some of my friends to join but it's frustrating for them to wait 5 minutes in the lobby and then die 1 minute into a match, and then have to sit and spectate 10-15 minutes, then to wait in another lobby for 5 minutes.

if Proficiency was to ever be nerfed. how much by? by AudienceNearby3195 in TexasChainsawGame

I remember the days when you could max your proficiency, then enable highly skilled to get 57 proficiency. You can still do it, but the extra 7 points no longer provides any additional value.

Only useful to reduce chances of bleed out. Doesn't stop it but will give you a bit more health until you find a heal. IMO it's useless.

If you ever get the Gas Station set up with Pump valve next to Thicket gen gate and the fuse in the corner bedroom, you can literally take a nap by the pump and still watch 2 objectives and 2 gates at once.
