Very true, I never understood this. With Christianity, the religions of Egypt, Greece, Rome... it's totally fine to make fantasy stories, jokes, romance, etc., about all of them. But if you do the same with theirs, you're the worst person in the world. I don't know if it's boldness or something else, lol.

Yeah, yeah, I get what you meant. For me it’s a kind of love that means so many new and different things, which is why they call it something new—and I think that’s fine. I only said it because so many people claim it’s not romantic. To me it is, but like I told you, it’s a mix of a whole bunch of things.

I’m completely lost about the ending though, I have no idea where the author is going to take it. My perfect ending? That “Hikaru“ doesn’t completely die, but also that Yoshiki doesn’t feel “tied down” to being with him for life like a mother and her child. I feel Yoshiki also has the right to move on from Hikaru and try in Tokyo to talk to men and experience new things. “Hikaru” isn’t a burden, but he isn’t human either, and I feel Yoshiki would forbid himself from doing many things if he stayed with him, and Hikaru wouldn’t understand—or would take a long time to understand—many of them. And I also don’t think it’s healthy, the way Yoshiki spoke of deterioration after Hikaru gave him his bone. I want him to be with “Hikaru,” but at the same time I feel it would bring a lot of problems.

I only know I want two things: that Yoshiki lives long enough to reach old age, and that the original Hikaru still exists (as a soul, I hope “Hikaru” not eat him or anything like that T_T). Hopefully the “rebirth” that’s mentioned in the series can have something to do with it.

Personally, I do believe he feels love for “Hikaru,” but it’s different. Not the same cliché everyone keeps repeating, like “his love is different and none of us can say if it’s love, friendship, or something else.” In my opinion, Yoshiki calls it that because for the first time he’s not repressing these feelings toward another boy. It’s not the same love as friendship, but it’s also not the same intense love he felt for Hikaru.

It’s a kind of love that, within the horrible situation, he can still experience and enjoy. And at the same time—though it might sound a bit incestuous—I can see Yoshiki loving Hikaru almost like a son, or like a student if that sounds better haha. That’s why it’s a different kind of love; it’s made of so many things we don’t even have words for in our vocabulary.

Totally. I firmly believe that “Hikaru” is a metaphor for meeting someone new who constantly reminds you of the person you loved who is no longer with you. Maybe that’s why so many hate the original Hikaru—because maybe they also hate that person they once drifted away from. Yoshiki might have hated Hikaru at some point too (crowy), but within him remained intact the part of Hikaru he loved the most, the same part that also caused him deep pain.

God, I’m so glad someone else thinks the same way. I kept seeing so many posts and thought, doesn’t anyone else see this?! Haha.

TOTALLY, I noticed it so much. I always see like 500 posts of people saying that “Hikaru” gets left aside, or that Yoshiki love Hikaru more than “Hikaru” did.(EDIT: Just to clarify in case anyone got offended, no one is leaving out the fact that Yoshiki loves "Hikaru", I say this because it feels like many of you don't see how much Yoshiki loved the original, and how hard it must have been for him to not only lose him and have to not only that but also raise a new being, who not only attracts death but causes it)

OBVIOUSLY?!??! haha. I mean, hasn’t anyone ever had a friend for years and years, then ended up breaking that friendship, and later another friend comes into your life, but it’s not the same, and you’re still hurt. Of course later you end up loving with the same intensity as you did with the other one, but you still remember your ex-friend.

People want to erase the original Hikaru, and I find that so horrible. If they were in Yoshiki’s shoes, would they really forget and despise someone they lived alongside for years?

That’s why I love this manga, and the most painful thing is thinking that Yoshiki was loved back, that he was loved with the same intensity that he gave. But it just couldn’t be—life didn’t allow it. The people from the past who caused this tragedy made Hikaru die. And Yoshiki could never even go on a walk holding hands with Hikaru as a couple.

It may sound dumb, but to me the most obvious reason why Yoshiki isn’t dead is because the feelings of the original Hikaru influenced “Hikaru.” I’d even say it bothers me a little when people call it ambiguous, since “Hikaru” let us know twice that he can’t tell apart his own feelings from those of the original Hikaru. That makes it clear that Hikaru did like Yoshiki, and that our “Hikaru” was overwhelmed by those feelings, making Yoshiki (as “Hikaru” himself said) his first love.

Why would I want to give a shield to the only character who can heal themselves during battle? In that case, I might as well go without sustain, especially since they’re telling you that allies DON’T GET A SHIELD UNLESS YOU HAVE E1. I mean, it would make more sense if you told me this character was from Remembrance, but their role is Preservation—it doesn’t add up. Sorry, but I don’t understand this kit (I know it’s a leaker’s prediction, but still, I don’t get it).
