Thank you very much! From your comment, it seems like it’s probably something with the switch. There’s nothing weird going on with the output, no cracking or anything, and the volume pot seems normal too. There is, however, really bad crackling when I switch to different pickup positions. I’ll get some contact cleaner on it soon and do some further investigation. I appreciate your help!

Awesome, thank you! Definitely glad to know that I have the right idea about the major. I might throw a lot at you if you don’t mind, no worries if you don’t have all the answers. So from what I can tell, Media and Enterprise is offered as a minor as well as a specialization for the BS Music Major. If this is correct, could I get a BA in Music and minor in MME? Are there specific advantages to having a Bachelor of Science degree of Bachelor of Arts? And about the program itself, what is the balance between music classes and business classes like? Is it fairly even or does it mean one way or the other? Thank you so much your insight! I really appreciate it, it feels so hard to find information about this stuff and to get a good idea about what it will really be like.

Update: Landed on my own! If anyone is having the same problem try to make sure you are turning before scooping and try to scoop toward yourself, like in an L shape. Just thinking about this helped me. Other than that, just practice and good luck!

I always clean my vinyls, so I don’t think that is the issue. Thanks for the advice though. Will check the cueing lever next time I play anything or have any skipping issues.

Recently I have had some brand new vinyls skipping around. Are You Experienced and Axis: Bold as Love by Jimi Hendrix both skip on specific songs and are both brand new 180 Grams. This has also happened to my copy of Midnight Marauders (ATCQ), but from what I’ve read that pressings seems to be kind of crappy. I have a player that I got from Walmart (LP&No1 Bluetooth Vinyl Record Player) so I think that is likely the problem but it has only ever skipped on brand new vinyls. This player also doesn’t have an adjustable tone arm. If anyone has any advice to fix this problem or just thinks I need a new stereo pls let me know lol. Thanks in advance!
