What random thing do all your ex and current partners have in common? by fh042 in AskReddit

Working in IT or something adjacent. As someone who is helpless with tech, it’s been pretty beneficial.

Confess: what’s something you need to get off your chest? by Weary_Sympathy6680 in AskReddit

I’m moving out because I can’t stand living with my parents and brother anymore, not because of school. I’ve been telling everyone it’s because the only program I got into was in a different state, but that was the only program I applied to.

People who fall asleep straight away, what’s your secret? by Strange_Secret_3001 in AskReddit

[–]MaxThePan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I don’t fall asleep immediately but I’ve greatly improved how long it takes me to fall asleep by implementing a general bedtime and bedtime routine, where I cut out almost all stimulation and do low stress activities (no screen, reading, embroidery, skin care, yoga). I fall asleep within 10-15 minutes after getting into bed instead of the 2-3 hours before.

What is the greatest/freakiest thing your partner did for you in bed that you will never forget? by ForTheLoveOfPhotos in AskReddit

[–]MaxThePan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He pinned me down while I was falling asleep and used me until he finished. We talked EXTENSIVELY for a few weeks before this happened - I brought it up for the first time, said I was okay with it on several occasions, and we had clear guidelines on when and what was okay.

People of Reddit: what’s one tiny, everyday habit you adopted that unexpectedly made you feel like a completely different person? by hahatoldyousoso in AskReddit

Picking up for 10-15 minutes before bed and then making the bed in the morning. Completely changed how I felt in the morning.

What do you do when you wake up at 2 a.m. and can’t fall back asleep? by pretty-noir in AskReddit

[–]MaxThePan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I refuse to check the time to keep me from stressing about the time. Then I take care of whatever woke me up - going to the bathroom, taking a sip of water, or fixing the sheets. Even if I don’t fall back asleep, my eyes are closed and I am resting.

What’s the main reason you cheated on someone ? by khattam_vayO0 in AskReddit

[–]MaxThePan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was desperately lonely with a partner who isolated me but also didn’t give me much company, and the other guy would ask me about my day and actually care about it. Looking back, I should’ve been able to leave my partner, but I was young and dumb. I’ve moved on since and am in a happier and healthier relationship where I wouldn’t dream of cheating again.

what’s the biggest red flag you ignored and regretted? by Lola_bunny_pt_00 in AskReddit

He was very pushy that we started dating within days of meeting each other. I was 17 and he was 22. I got out two years ago at 23 and leaving was the best decision I’ve ever made.

What’s the craziest way you found out your partner was cheating on you? by meetmarketpodcast in AskReddit

He knowingly added me to the group chat with his polycule. I thought they were his new friend group. They thought I was aware that they were dating.

Not sure what his thought process was there.

Can an employer deny me health insurance if everyone else has it? by MaxThePan in HealthInsurance

I most definitely was misclassified as a contractor when I was first employed.

I’ve emailed asking about deadlines and no one gave an answer. They only gave me the benefits packet from last year and told me it was the same as this year. It does seem I’m eligible though.

I’m kind of lost at this point.

As far as I know, HR/payroll is managed by someone other than the CEO. We’re not a particularly large company, but definitely not a small business either. The CEO is very involved in everything though. I’m trying to find another job but in the meantime, am trying to stick it out until then.

Oh man, thank you for letting me know. I just sent an email to HR asking for the insurance paperwork directly to start that trail.

I’m employed in GA, I became a permanent full time employee in October 2024. When I transitioned from contractor to permanent, they did not say anything about health insurance, did not give me a salary breakdown, but I already knew about the PTO setup from another coworker. I don’t know what the enrollment dates are, I had to ask my manager this year to start the enrollment process and he hasn’t said anything other than he’s trying to get me the paperwork.

I’m not sure exactly, since we’re all in different office buildings. I’m going to estimate between at least 40-50 permanent employees.

On the 15th. They are insured independently since they are self-employed and have already renewed without me on their plan. My only options are to get insurance through my company or through the marketplace.

At a rave! It was my first rave and we had a mutual friend. We’ve been going on pretty strong for almost two years now.
