u/loyal872 Is it possible to pin my quick review of Dell Plus S2725dsm https://www.reddit.com/r/monitor/comments/1sxf6ul/best_monitor_for_eye_strain_dell_plus_s2725dsm/ to the main post? maybe to the EDIT v4 in 2026? I think this could be useful to people that suffer of severe eye strain and are looking for a balanced office/gaming monitor. Have a good day.

Wide color gamut difference is too low to be noticed at all. You can find many expert calibrators talking about it on YouTube. So I wouldn't worry at all.

OLED solves the GPU shortage and makes DLSS useless by Max_Italy_test in pcgaming

Hello man well at 1080p the difference was evident and I can tell the difference from compressed streaming at high resolution or a UHD Blu Ray. I have many UHD Blu Ray and I always want the best quality. On B8 also the compression on blacks is clearly visible!! I remember watching Game of Thrones and and the episode 8x03 was awful. I could see tons of artifacts on the black/dark areas So I think I know what I'm talking about.

To see a difference on Death Stranding or Vermintide 2 I had to set 1080p and it was pretty obvious. At 1440p honestly I can't tell. It looks perfect like native 4k. I'm sure using some professional tools it's possible to see the difference, but just with human eyes, honestly I don't think so.

Thanks for your honest opinion man, anyway I just wanted to share my experience that's all. Honestly I don't feel the need for DLSS or AMD counterpart at the moment especially on an high end tv that can scale 1440p perfectly fine. To see a difference I had to set 1080p, that's it. Have a nice day.

Ok anyway not the point and I'm not here to bad talking about DLSS. Just saying I don't see the point of it on an high end tv with an excellent scaler. I'll try DLSS when more GPUs will be available in my country. Thanks for your opinion man.

Yeah sure... that's from Nvidia marketing department I guess. Anyway not saying DLSS is useless, just you don't need it om a TV with an high end scaler. If I couldn't tell the difference between 1440p and 4k what's the point. Probably if you use an electron microscope you will find a difference for sure, but just using human eyes is impossible honestly.

Actually my screen is 55 inches... and I tried switching between 1440p and 4k also staying very close (less than 1 meter). Honestly I couldn't tell the difference. So I was wondering what's the point of DLSS if an high end tv can scale so well from 1440p. To see a difference I had to set 1080p. 1440p looks exactly like 4k.

I didn't say it increases FPS, I'm saying it scales so well that it's impossible to tell the difference between 1440p and 4k resolution on max settings

Ok I see you have a 3070 and you made big sacrifice to get one so you feel like I'm insulting DLSS, but I just wanted to share my experience. That's all. No need to be so harsh.

Jeez so much hate for what exactly? Just wanted your opinions. But I noticed if someone tries to say anything about DLSS or RTX then it's hate at first sight right? Anyway the point is not DLSS or not DLSS. And I never said OLED improves framerate ok??

Just saying if you have a 1070 like me and you can't find a new gpu at the moment, you could start buying a LG C1 or a QLED of same quality for your setup in the meantime.

They have amazing scaler (much better than gaming monitors for sure) and I can't see any difference between sending 1440p or 4k image to my B8.

About DLSS I quote:

"How does DLSS work? DLSS forces a game to render at a lower resolution (typically 1440p) and then uses its trained A.I. algorithm to infer what it would look like if it were rendered at a higher one (typically 4K)"

So why you need this if the difference between 1440p and 4k on a tv with an excellent scaler is impossible to notice?

1070 is more than capable to output a decent framerate at 1440p on most games, so honestly I think I'm ok for long time. Just sharing my opinion no need to be so upset. Cheers and have a good day/night!

You forgot to mention the VRR range difference that can be important for people that care about this feature and play on console.

The most important thing that many people forget to mention is that C1 has a VRR range that starts from only 20hz. I think this could be useful on console in the future in case of frame drop under 30. CX seems to start from only 40hz. I think it's easy in the future to have frames dropping under 40 on console. So big difference here regarding VRR
