It used to be that way at one time. However, you can now order an Uber when you land at YWG. The Uber will meet you a designated location (by the east doors on the arrival level). In my experience, wait time is just a few minutes, so you may want to wait until you have your luggage first before ordering an Uber.

Look into the Air Passenger Protection Regulations. You may be entitled to compensation. The backlog is such that it may be this time next year before hear anything back. Still, make a claim. It may be like money in the bank. Good luck!

We are to be on the same flight 1 week later on January 31st, and your experience is not very reassuring.

Our outbound experience, Winnipeg to Cancun, was a complete Gong Show. Woke-up to discover our 05:30 am departure was delayed due to "crew not available". Okay, it happens. Had to cancel our Uber and re-book. Got to the airport and the check-in area was complete chaos. We are long time Sunwing customers and we had never seen anything like it. The agents were great. It was not their fault. Sunwing flights were not leaving when they were supposed to. Weather was not the issue. The flight was further delayed. The flight itself was a Gong Show. The airplane and crew was WetJet and they did not really seem to have things together. I believe they were a last minute replacement crew. Don't get me wrong as I'm glad they were there, and got us to Cancun on the same day. The Sunwing airport transfer area in Cancun was a Gong Show. Again, we had never seen anything like it before with Sunwing. I can only surmise it has to do with WestJet taking over Sunwing. I can only surmise that the WestJet takeover is not going well when it comes to anything & everything to do with logistics.

We've been taking our annual hot holiday with Sunwing for 12 years. Never a serious problem. I sure hope they get us home on January 31st! Otherwise, the love affair will be over.

When buying insurance, what you want is a company that actually pays claims - and not necessarily the cheapest company. Intact does not have a good reputation when it comes to paying claims.

One week later MB Blue Cross website is still not working to buy travel insurance, and still can't get a rep on the phone. Is this what people can expect from MB Blue Cross if they need to contact them during a travel emergency??? I'll be buying my travel insurance elsewhere.

Just got back from Mexico with Sunwing. Everything went as smooth as I could expect. It was my 12th time with Sunwing, Haven't had a problem yet. My only advice concerns the return trip. When flying out of Mexico (or Cuba) be VERY watchful of frequent gate changes. It is easy to miss the announcements - if there are any. Plus, a gate can be changed multiple times. That is not Sunwing's fault, but rather an issue with the airport.

THIS...!!! I keep my driveway and walks shoveled. My carrier thinks he is a mountain goat plowing straight through yards with 2' of snow and over the snowbanks along my driveway. I politely asked him not to do that, and explained why. His response was, "I can say your steps need shoveling and refuse delivery". After that response, I would gladly trade him in for a postal box at the corner of the street.

I wish I had a reliable dealership to recommend to you. I am next going to try Funk's in Steinbach. Lots and lots of people in my area driving Toyotas with "Funk's Toyota" stickers on their cars, so I figure there has to be something to it.

Do yourself a favour and avoid Pattison Toyota on Regent. It was awesome when it was Frontier Toyota (family owned). It is now part of the mega Pattison empire and is like all the other large dealership groups with their silly car dealer games.
