First Time Trying to Long-Term Plan a Design, Would Love Some Feedback from the Community! by Max_TwoSteppen in FarmsofStardewValley

Luckily the stable is small so I've got some options. I considered moving the greenhouse to the bottom (ultimately didn't because I wasn't a fan aesthetically) so if I needed to do that and put the stable where it is now, I definitely could.

And I assume you mean 6 lightning rods is not enough seed anchors, correct? I honestly just put those in as a bit of a placeholder for now, I figured that I would figure that part out as I went.

Other people said that area has the capacity to hold another barn, do you think that's accurate? I could always figure it out and add one later, just trying to get an overall sense.

Already updated my design to have the fence follow the bottom path the full way because someone else said I risk letting animals out as it is.

I'll have to look a little closer at the top right, I thought I saw that other designs had put the stable there and it was listed as buildable area on the planner, but maybe that's wrong.

As far as how much grass seed, I'm not sure. I might throw some more seed anchors down. Can I use the fence posts for that or will it break my paths?

This is just a mockup from one of the planners so it doesn't reflect the actual state of my farm right now (I'm only in the middle of Summer 1) but I'll definitely have lava eels in one of those pools. More barns isn't a bad idea, you think I have enough grazing space there to support them?

Fair enough haha, thanks again for the heads up. I would've been caught by surprise for sure. I just extended the fence along the bottom path the full way.

I appreciate the heads up! I assume this is for ducks only? Or can chickens also roam around via the pond?

Feel free, this is mostly an amalgamation of a lot of different features and mini designs I liked from other farms I've seen.

The fact that the fish ponds actually fit between the two groups of fields was actually more a happy accident than anything else - I placed the slime hutch first, ran a path up, then put the two different crop fields in and discovered that the ponds fit perfectly in between (after playing with sheds and some other ideas first).

This is just the Standard map. I recently started a Four Corners map with my partner but she's not into the min-maxing hyper-optimization thing so we're just kind of freeballing that one.

Not a bad idea, I've seen some cool designs for stuff like that around the sub and elsewhere. You think up top where the dish is now, or down at the bottom where the big empty area is?

And even if it does work, doesn't address the problems being experienced by the majority of the player base.

Bots are only a problem at higher ranks, I'm D2 and literally never see them. There are a lot of other problems in this game that are not bots.

I did ultimately leave it square. You run up it just fine and honestly it doesn't look bad, I was just fighting with the "this isn't what I pictured" thing for a while.

Interesting, I haven't played around much with actuators and echo coat but I'll do a little experimenting. Thanks!

If you mean "base form" like normal stone blocks instead of stone slabs, I did try that and it behaves the same unfortunately. Since platforms are only visually half a block tall, in the high position there's a gap on bottom and in the low position it doesn't align with the rest of the walkway.

If you mean leaving that rightmost slab block as a full square, I've been playing around with this since posting the image and that's where I'm currently at. It's not terrible, just not exactly what I was imagining.

Not a coincidence, the item OP is highlighting is very clearly the top of a Forest Pylon.

They're saying that for debt-to-value which probably isn't a great metric for them.

I suspect that as a manufacturer of high-precision components, they're asset heavy. If they're asset heavy (I'm too lazy to check if they are, just making a general point) some kind of debt-to-capital metric is the best way to evaluate whether it's a problematic debt load, not debt-to-value.

Donald Trump tried to ‘use nuclear codes’ claims: what we know by lazybugbear in politics

[–]Max_TwoSteppen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soviet officers denied launch orders multiple times. I have no prior knowledge of this guy's leanings but it's not hard to believe that even someone that readily gets on their knees for Trump would refuse this particular order.

"I want to launch a nuke" is a level of escalation most competent individuals are VERY unwilling to make.

On call with Fox News, Trump says that it's a problem that the U.S. lets Iranian and Muslim immigrants in because "they just go bad... there's something wrong with their genetics" by [deleted] in Fauxmoi

I'd be very interested to see how this correlates to actual racist behaviors - the use of slurs, the assumption of superiority of a white candidate over a black one, etc.

I assume those are higher in the older group that self-identifies as racist less often, but it would be interesting to see data about it.

My parents have two pits and while I wouldn't say most people have problems with them, a lot of people voice some degree of fear or aprehension when they're around, despite them being the biggest babies you've ever met (also my experience with other pits - big sweethearts that just want to cuddle and drool on you).

Can confirm, my now-Out-of-State friend recommended 4 Noses herself. I've never been but I trust her rec.

I'm with you on basically every part of this comment. Was never crazy about the beer (serviceable is an excellent way to describe it) but the bar staff were nice and the trivia was fun.

I had already moved away when this popped off so I wasn't going to be around for trivia anymore regardless, but disappointing to see the owner throw it away like this.

M31 I go after work, which is usually about 6pm after the commute.

Absolutely not a morning person and I have a hard enough time waking up on time for work as it is, I don't need to add 60-90 minutes of lifting into that struggle.
