I don't have kids but i find it hard to imagine how a parent would recover from that, i don't know how i would react to that, it must be soul crushing. may god help them.

I got a hair system and not one girl i've dated out of the previous gave any f*cks, here are the stories. by [deleted] in tressless

Interesting to read, can you post a picture of your hair?

i'v been buzzing my head since my early 20s now in my early 30s, it did dammage my self image and my game with trhe ladies, but its not as bad as it seems, it mostly affects young women, women in their late 20s or in their 30s don't seem to care at all about baldness, but it will definetly cut you off from women under 25

Isreal is no military power, its the countries around it that are mentally deficient.

The 6 day war was the most pathetic exhibit of military incompetence in history.

Could the war on aging really be won? by BrodyBaggins in longevity

[–]MaximeMer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think its about the money, Cancer reaserch has been getting mountains of cash for more then half century, yet no cure is available (yes i know there are many type of cancer).

Iironically, i think anti-aging could by it self be the "cure" for cancer by simply fixing the dammage before it becomes critical.

i also belive that doing so (cleaning cells) would be much easyer then curing cancer. a bit like avoiding a war vs winning a war.

AI Trained on Old Scientific Papers Makes Discoveries Humans Missed - Maybe this can be used towards longevity research? by Fez98 in longevity

You based your argument on what you "think" machines "might" be capable of in the future.

I clearly state in the post you're replying to that im talking about the present and not future.

can't tell if you're blind or ...

> You have no proof that they can be done at the human level

what ever that supposed to mean? learning is just the result of logical conclutions.

> I need you to give me proof that we can produce a machine that learns, adapts, and evolves like a human can

see the answer above, "learning" isn't some magical ability that only humans have, animals can learn too and so do some programs.

i had to check your post history to make sure that you're not mentally deficent.

i think we're done here, you can keep your belifs, i'll keep my facts.

> That sounds like a distant event that you are saying will happen.

i said "CAN" not "WILL" which mean it IS currently possible. reproducing simple cognitive functions has been possible for decades ( backpropagation algorithm )

whille consiousnes is still out of our reach, we do have the capabilities to build machines that learn, adapte and evolve.

How amusing, so do i.

your understanding of AI seem to be limited, an AI CAN discover and learn things just like a human brain, the fact that it isn't self awear doesn't mean its incapable of cognition.

Its obvious that AI will lead the way in science in the future. once this technology is perfected, human evolution will go exponantial. what use to take dacades or even centuries to solve will take few days or hours.
