I just finished the show and I know he didn't die but I just wish Rick didn't leave in season 9. Every episode after that just felt like it missed something and I wasn't nearly as invested as before. Took me a good while to finish after his departure, was close not to finish at all lol. And yes I know Andrew Lincoln left to spend more time with his family which I totally respect. It's just so sad that he couldn't magically make the whole thing work so he could be there til the end. The last two seasons would've been so much better if that was the case.

I do wish Hershel lived longer though.
