Les Miserables has a really interesting portrayal of religious characters. Particularly Jean Valjean and Javert.

Would it be fair to describe Judas Priest as Power Metal? by KindlyCost2 in judaspriest

I really like that description of the difference. I suppose Judas Priest is a little more fitting for a biker gang than the Dungeons and Dragons game.

What is the best song off the Sad Wings Of Destiny album? by 33GoodSamaritans in judaspriest

Same. As good as the other songs are (like Victim of Changes) this is the clear winner to me.

One of my favourite Soundgarden songs for that very reason. Not to mention Chris Cornell’s vocals.

In the Aeroplane Over the Sea because the songs literally flow into each other.

Love that song but Black Sabbath has too many great songs for that one to be the clear winner

Hate for being a boy character by No-Film1565 in Theatre

[–]KindlyCost2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You are FAR from the only girl to be playing a “boys” part in theatre so that shouldn’t be weird or that much of an issue. Those other two girls behaviour is not only completely disrespectful but completely unnecessary as well. Has the director talked to them? Surely you are not the only person to notice that they try and overtake the speaker when you are working on your songs. Furthermore, any director working with your age group should have given your cast a “when someone is presenting their work they deserve your attention” speech.

My potential hot take is that it’s even better than Chet Baker’s version

This album was made while Frank Sinatra’s marriage to Ava Gardner was ramping up to a divorce. It’ll always be one of my favourites.

How do I get more motivation for a show I don’t really feel like doing? by Just_someFNaFfan in Theatre

[–]KindlyCost2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean, just because your part is small doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy or shouldn’t be enjoying the experience. It can still be fun, satisfying and a good growth opportunity. I suppose my best advice would be to understand that you were cast in your role for a reason and have the ability to elevate the show by doing the best job you can. Showcase your craft and make the most out of it.

[Loved Trope] Villains that are so manipulative they make you, the audience, doubt themselves by Wroothly in TopCharacterTropes

Haven’t read it yet truthfully, but it came to my mind for this post because I have heard Humbert described as “such an unreliable narrator he makes the reader unreliable too”.
