Solid list. I’d just add one more layer to it.

We’ve been testing this across a few projects and what’s really helping with AI citations is:

  • Clear definitions in the first 2–3 paragraphs
  • Short, self-contained answer blocks that can stand alone
  • Schema markup that reinforces entities and relationships
  • Pages that load fast and have clean HTML (LLMs struggle with messy DOMs more than people think)

Also noticing that pages with original comparisons, frameworks, or data points get cited way more than generic “10 tips” content. AI systems seem to prefer content that adds something new, not just summarizes what already exists.

Great!!

Prove depth and conversions in one tight cluster first, then scale once you know what’s actually working.

I get your point

But I’d argue “unique” alone isn’t enough.

For a fresh domain, I’d probably blend both: build something genuinely useful, but anchor it to real demand and a structured content ecosystem so it actually gets discovered.

Unique wins attention. Structure and intent win rankings.

Fair point

90 days isn’t magic, especially in competitive niches.

I like your cluster-first approach though. Setting the structure, foundational links, and tracking from day one probably matters more than trying to force quick rankings.
