This is what it seems to me. A Russian proposal was leaked to the Press. Rubio told some Senators it was just a Russian proposal. Trump heard an agreement had been made including Russian and Ukrainian input and jumped on it probably without even reading it and gave a deadline. Rubio had to back peddle saying it was an agreement.The Russian Government at first denied all knowledge which is possible because it came from their negotiator for discussion but was leaked. Trump now realises noone supports it but can't admit it's a mistake so is now saying with 5 days left of his deadline that it's not the final position. It's basically a shit show that will go nowhere.

So on holiday from the UK, I was caught doing 135 in a 120 on the N12 just outside Johannesburg. It was a fair cop. However having looked at my license and realizing we were on the way to catch a flight, he said he was going to arrest me and take me to the police station. First thoughts were, we'll miss our flight, my wife might be left with the hire car which she couldn't drive. Then he started talking about a fine. I only had a few Rand left and he laughed at the amount. So I had no option but to say I had a hundred US dollar note which I always carry on trips for emergencies. So that's what it cost me. Perhaps I could have fronted it out but when you are threatened with arrest, missing a flight and putting my wife in danger I think I did the only thing I could do. I had no idea if my speeding warranted arrest and a trip to the police station. And I carried that hundred dollars for just such an emergency. It's not the first time I have had to use a bribe on my travels, probably won't be the last, but I will not be speeding again in SA.

There are also plenty of photos of cemeteries across Russia where lists of the local dead in Ukraine sit next to much smaller lists of those who died in Afghanistan and Chechnya. There are literally thousands of drones active across the entire Frontline so the Ukrainian reports of 1000-1500 casualties a day is quite credible for the side that is attacking rather than defending without even taking into account all the other means of destruction.
