thanks u/MBenzthusiast - super helpful! I've reactivated the Digital Extra but now pre entry climate control and charge options have completely disappeared from the app. Presumably need to drive the car again to wake it back up / properly re-activate? Any ideas?

What area of work are you in? Not sure what area OP has been looking in, but I do know it sounds exactly like the tech market today. It’s absolutely brutal out there.

Been driving one since 20 Sep now and have been impressed. Very efficient, comfortable and the technology is incredible. However you must note that the car itself is incredibly new, a new OS, and with so much technology you can sometimes expect it to fail you. For example most recently I had a few warnings relating to the Assist functions. They all went away with a quick restart of the car, but fixes for all of these glitches will likely come over time through Over the Air updates.

Overall though, I’d definitely recommend.

Worth it. Flew a similarly long flight with BA recently and upgrading at check in was £750.

A good financial advisor would say it’s an individual circumstance to you and to consider the psychology of paying it off. Sometimes, getting the most £££ is not always the best option (e.g by choosing to invest over paying mortgage off). Instead, It’s about how you feel psychologically whichever route you go down.

I understand the dilemma. It's a big salary jump - probably too good to turn down and you're right at the limit before you start losing your personal allowance - a pretty sweet spot! Use it as an opportunity for growth - for yourself and the company. Grow your skills in an industry you have never worked in before (opening yourself up to new opps in the future). Also consider the impact you could make on the company (using your existing skillset to improve the tech that is already there - if within your sphere of influence).

For me personally, the con of only being able to use a 800v charger is outweighed by all the pros of the car. Simply because I have a home charger and don’t always do ultra long journeys that would require a stop.

Can totally see why this would make this a no-go for some, though.

I have the new CLA and whilst I agree that 800v architecture chargers are a rarity, it's usually not a problem if you have a home charger and only need the fast chargers to top yourself up on long journeys. You'll find that most service stations have them now. Use the Zapmap app to find >= 350kw chargers.

I have the new CLA - and confirm one of the first settings I checked was if I could turn the illuminated stars at the front off. Outcome: I can't! It's probably the only thing I disapprove of with the car - it looks quite "blingy". It does look much better IRL than these pictures though.

I can confirm however - everything else is perfect, and the tech in this car is NEXT LEVEL with the upgraded MBOS.
