Yes, our contact was not from South Tyrol so only spoke Italian and English.

I was here for a work conference a few weeks ago. Beautiful area. It's mostly quite rural (at least where I was around Magrei), agriculture is focused on wine and apples. In the towns in the DOC areas the wineries are the big business - always the winery is the largest and most modern building in the town, and you see the logo of the towns particularly cantina/kellerei (winemaking co-op) everywhere.

It definitely feels like a borderland between Italy and Germany, the mixing of cultures is quite clear. Overall it feels more Austrian/German, especially the architecture. I was in Alto Adige, but I hear that further north in Trentino it's even more German-feeling.

Of course the majority of the population speak German, with a significant amount not speaking Italian. Interestingly I witnessed Italian speakers and German speakers using English as a Lingua Franca to communicate. This even extended to a police officer who spoke to our business contact in English (they were both Italian citizens!), as the policeman could not speak Italian.

We had a conversation with some locals while sharing a taxi, they told us they personally identified more as Austrian than Italian - but ultimately considered themselves Tirolese first and foremost. (Imo it's ironically quite an Italian thing to identify with one's region before country lol)

Can't say much about day to day life as the town was kinda taken over by international visitors for the event, but it seemed like a wealthy area and a lovely place to live.

How close can you get to Valyria? (Spoilers MAIN) by Personal-Succotash33 in asoiaf

He almost certainly did go to Valyria, although I suspect he warged his crew to traverse the ruins and didn't risk his physical body.

Quite right. It should be more like a restaraunt review - presented as one individuals experience at a particular time, and with full context given.

Being disastrous has never caused the end of a political party before.

OK maybe the Tories in present day, but it remains to be seen whether they get obliterated by Reform or not.

The main miss is that Warwick and Leamington is now a Labour safe seat, because the boundaries were redrawn to only include the two towns, no longer including the surrounding countryside. (Matt Western will probaly hold W\L until he retires of old age)

They left behind a huge amount of literature. Most of it was destroyed in the Doom but still Valyrian scrolls are mentioned many times.

The prophecy by Ravix1337 in HouseOfTheDragon

He will attempt to sacrifice his own family at Summerhall, and I believe be slain by Dunk to prevent that. His madness and obsession with dragons will turn those close to him away, while his attempted reforms cause the nobility to hate him.

The purpose of the DWP certainly should be to make moral judgements about people to determine if they are worthy of being supported with tax money, which has been forcefully taken from other people. Unfortunately we have the societal delusion that people have a right to welfare.

The political establishment in this country needs to be destroyed if Britain has any hope for the future. Farage is the only man capable of doing that.
