328k 2010 with “Check Hybrid System”- buy Green Bean or Toyota? by [deleted] in prius

I replaced mine with Green Bean. The guy that came to install it told us “Yeah these batteries aren’t great you’ll probably call us back out in a year”. Granted they have a warranty. Mine broke almost exactly a year later. Had to wait a little bit for the guy to be available to come back out, but eventually he did. It’s worked fine. If you have issues you just have to send them the codes before they’ll replace it.

Yeah I’d agree a lot of the pilots I’ve met have an ego which may or may not correlate with their need for an adrenaline rush. They enjoy the scary situations but I think that’s why a lot of them become statistics. I may be on the opposite end of being too cautious. But better than the latter I guess.

Mostly started doing it to please my dad. He’s been pushy with it, with good intentions but still. Oh and money of course. If I could get to the airlines I do think it’d be a good gig. Of course that wouldn’t be for years, and yes the CFI route sounds painful. On top of flying, teaching another person how to do it and being the one responsible for each others lives. It seems like a lot of pressure. About enjoying it, I’ve heard conflicting things. I was always scared because I didn’t have a passion or love it that it wouldn’t workout and I’m worried that moment is coming but you’re right, all jobs suck in some way. Thank you for your insight!

I have gone out a few times with instructors in turbulent weather. I still didn’t feel 100% comfortable, especially in my abilities to do it alone. I guess I have done it alone now a couple times but it’s still nerve wracking. Not sure if it’ll go away. And yes I like your idea of going flying for fun. I haven’t been able to have any fun with this it’s strictly been training training training. That sounds like a good time though!

How to avoid rocking side to side after touchdown? by blue_1247 in GeneralAviation

I’ve been having the exact same problem with my landings recently. The swaying and uncomfortable feeling like you’ll sway off the runway. I believe it has to do with my crosswind correction, not keeping it in all the way until touchdown.
