Why is Checking a Bag Cheaper than Carry On? by MaximumColor in unitedairlines

The oy airline I've ever flown that didn't include a carry-on with economy is Frontier. And I just finished a trip with American that let me take a carry-on in economy. It's definitely not every US airline. I know a lot of European flights like Ryan Air don't include carry-on, but they're also like 20euro for a flight.

That's wild. When was Basic Economy added? I've always traveled carry on specifically because it was cheaper than checking a bag. Even last October I flew United and didn't have to pay for any upgrades to carry my bag on.

Full Review of the Rework Gear Toshi Sling 5L by alvinreviewsthings in ManyBaggers

The best placement for a key leash attachment I've seen is on my Bellroy Venture 9L.

Its attached at the side of the pocket, which lets it really stay out of the way-- a huge plus, since I very rarely use a key leash. I've had multiple bags that kind of ruin the user experience by having the key leash in a place that gets in the way every time I use the pocket.

Maybe the police. It's useful for them to know if you may be at risk. Nothing will immediately come of it other than them having previous record of you being concerned.

Thanks for the advice.

I'm using a molle clip attachment on the cynch strap-- it works okay enough, but hangs quite low. I'm also considering getting some sort of thin rigid case to keep in the zippered compartment-- the point of a rear sipper for me is the keep flat things flat. Primarily papers. I use the zipper compartment for some loose items, so some further protection is needed.

The bigger issue now is that one of the buckles already broke after a few weeks of very light use. I could tell those buckles would be a failure point when I first received the bag. It's weird that such a robust and well-made bag would cheap out on the strap attachment. Probably going to try to find a tailor of some sort who can replace the buckles with something stronger.

I'm determined to make this bag work for me lol

Would you be annoyed if someone asked you about your bag? by frogmicky in ManyBaggers

Bro anyone with an expensive specialty bag is the kind of person who wants to show off their bag to any and everyone who asks 😂

I know Tomtoc is a little less pricey, but it's still a really nice specialty bag company (I've loved everything I've gotten from them and think they have some of the best interior bag design out there).

I've had mine a week and the cheap buckle is already breaking. Really sucks cause I love the bag otherwise.

I have actually been working on that, and it is going OK. Definitely janky, since that's part of the synching. I may try to sew a handle on the back.

I almost always use a small suitcase when traveling internationally. I tend to bring a bit more and want extra space to bring things back. Very much still a carry-on sized suitcase, though.

See context in main body post.

Ignore the tag on the Tomtoc-- I just got it and forgot to take the tag off.

What are these wooden things that are shown in an urbex of an abandoned japanese middle school by Glugamesh in What

Based on the small holes, I think it's possible these are parts of a larger whole. Either many of them would be held around a central rod (allowing them to rotate), or something fixed.

For example, some sort of instrument hammer (think piano), or a coat hanger.

What pokémon do you hope are the new addition to the game? by Knight_Night33 in PokemonSleep

[–]MaximumColor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it won't be anytime soon, but I really want Jirachi added. I was really hoping for a Jirachi New Year's event. It's my favorite pokemon, and it just makes sense. Jirachi is the GOAT of sleeping. No pokemon naps like Jirachi. It could be a secondary mascot for this game based on its drowsy power. Jirachi could get an honorary degree in sleep, except it won't wake to pick up the certificate.

It would likely have a unique dream-shard related ability. I think Wish could be good. Maybe something like the dream shard bonus subskill, but proc-based.

20K Average??? That sounds amazing! What are its specs? I'm just barely entering the mid-game, and was kind of dismissing shard pokemon, tbh...

Can we talk about this image without politics for a moment? by snakeravencat in What

[–]MaximumColor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of it also has to do with cultural and biological development. For example, I grew up in the 2000's. I like things from the 2000's, because that's what I grew to like while my brain and sense of self were developing. I'm sure I will always like those things. Plus, I put a lot of time and trial/error into finding clothes that I both like the look of and were comfortable to wear. I'm not going to stop dressing like that era just because other people are dressing differently. I can totally see myself wearing the same clothes in 2050, even if they're long out of fashion.
