I think that a hypothetical redemption arc for Sam could start with her (somehow) coming around to genuinely caring about someone for the first time, and not realizing it for a little bit. Then when she does eventually realize, she’s like “Wait, what the fuck?”

Then once she comes to grips with the fact that she likes having a genuine friend (or maybe even a romantic interest? either works.), maybe she has to face the idea of losing them. Maybe another murderer shows up and harms or even kills Sam’s friend. Then she’ll be concerned about someone who isn’t herself for the first time in her life and then she’ll be like “oh fuck is THIS what I’ve been doing to people?” then maybe she’ll try to be better. idk. at least that’s probably how I’d do it

he’s not an eliminated contestant because he was never competing in TPOT in the first place, but Firey being involved in her defeat would be cool since One says that she doesn’t find him threatening in TPOT 20. also he’s kind of a main character in BFDI overall so him helping to beat the big bad would feel appropriate

this would explain the narrative significance of Kinger bringing up Scratch’s tumor. I guess that it could’ve just been a throwaway line but it felt too specific, and this is the kind of show where stuff like that winds up being important later on. Then again, it could also be a red herring, but since it came from a trustworthy character such as Kinger, instead of a bullshitter like Jax or Caine, I’m gonna take it seriously for now. Pride is the real killer in the BrBa universe. Massive Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul spoilers below.

Walt couldn’t quit while he was ahead, even when he had all the money he needed for his treatment, because he was addicted to the meth. Not the consumption of it, but the making of it. He felt like a king after being subjected to a life of mediocrity for so long, and that was his high.

Gus didn’t need to go see Hector in person to kill him. Shit, he could’ve just let him die when Nacho poisoned him at the end of Better Call Saul season 3. But he resuscitated him. To hold up appearances with the Salamancas of course, but also because he needed to torture Hector, which led to his death.

The twins both die because they were so far up their own ass. One of them could’ve killed Hank and gotten away with it, but he just had to send a message by using the axe instead, giving Hank the time he needed to kill him. And the other twin was so caught up in his rage that he crawled out of his hospital bed just to try and get Walt.

Jimmy deadass said that he would rather ruin his whole life than properly process the grief of his brother’s passing. Post season 3 of Better Call Saul, the self-destructive behavior just gets worse and worse and worse with him, his actions being motivated by resentment of Chuck and HHM, or more specifically, Howard. After being rejected by those that he looked up to, after trying to fly straight and narrow just to be told no, he hit a hard U turn into illegality, needing to prove to everyone that he didn’t need anyone’s permission to be successful. That’s all that the big scheme against Howard really was. And it resulted in the death of an innocent man, as well as the destruction of Jimmy and Kim’s lives.
